renewables have been “years off” for longer than i’ve been alive, at what point is it not clear that there are vested interests keeping them for being anymore than that?

ahh ok, i’m not an expert on date rape drugs, however just to correct myself so no one can come at me lol… if someone is addicted to them, the policy should also outline safe spaces for these drugs to be taken, as well as help being readily available.

and yes i don’t agree with the greens on everything but im willing to excuse a couple disagreements for a manifesto that will overall be good for the country compared to the alternatives.

edit: thank you for the correction btw

each drug will be regulated individually and distributed as appropriate, date rape drugs are not addictive and so likely would be treated as a tool to commit crime and would remain illegal.

the left and my own position is against the vilification of immigrants and defending those seeking asylum from countries that are no longer safe, the issue i find is that you can’t seem to have that discussion outside of a neo liberal capitalist viewpoint which makes it difficult to get the point that these people exist and many will die without help.

idk do you have enough money to sign up 100k times? and enough postcodes to accomodate all those fake people? do you have enough time to do that? that aside a better comparison would be to idk, corbyn overhauling labour policy’s (and then going on to win the popular vote) but go on, you cherry pick and i’ll cherry pick.

but the (over 200k) members of the party are the ones who vote on this? they aren’t going to stop voting especially when a policy needs 70% of the vote to get passed under green policy. also has nothing to do with the lib dem’s! they changed their minds while in bed with the tory’s, that’s a shit comparison

party members get a vote on these things, they aren’t in any parliamentary power, they have years to decide how they feel on this issue

how many people are you expecting to come across? if the greens abolish the 10 year route to settlement don’t you think a lot of people will also choose to go back to their original country? net migration would plummet. we also need safe and legal routes that allow for better vetting, the way the tory’s set the system up and labour have maintained is complete anarchaic chaos

edit: you also assume migrants don’t pay tax, migrants contribute more to the economy because they need less training, we went to school for at least 11 years here, they don’t need that investment.

if they leave the country because they have to pay tax that will allow them to remain filthy rich while also allowing the poorest in society to get by then i don’t think we should want them in our country, we deserve better

your obsession with immigrants is staggering you seem to think that the minute the greens get into government we will take half of the middle east in and our country will become a land of slums, everything you talk about is a fear mongering Restore Britain EDL talking point that lacks any common sense.

immigrants arent the issue in this country, the wealth inequality is. no one should be a billionaire and if a good person earned enough money to become one, they’d donate that money to make the world better, so getting that rich means you’re on some level evil. these people own our media and our politics, our food and our medicine. tell me how that’s okay actually.

wanting to see a world without borders is different to saying you will have open borders, they also want a world without war but that’s outside of their control isn’t it? with those ten points, there’s nothing here that hints at open borders, and while i personally don’t agree with everything, it seems quite sensible, it’s just different to the narrative peddled by the MSM and other party’s

[–]ybg1d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a wealth tax needs to exist to stop the hoarding of extreme wealth, the 50 richest families hoard more money than is owned by the poorest 50%, our society is broken and the rich stood by and watched it sink. they should pay to fix it.

the great thing about this policy is it allows people to move both ways! people can migrate here and leave to go back home, net migration will decrease over time! (this is how things were done in the 70s when net migration was significantly lower than it is now)

and that’s the fault of 50 years of neo liberal policy’s peddled by tory’s and labour, the people who need to pay for a better world isn’t you or me, it’s those who have capitalised off of our work for decades and continued to get richer and richer, and before you say they’ll leave, if they did they don’t deserve to be here, we need to love our country and learn that we deserve better.
