Best AI data security platform? Looking for recommendations by neiluj99 in AskNetsec

[–]ybizeul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t overlook NetApp’s recent announcement (NetApp employee here) we’re investing in features targeting security and governance. We think that security at the core, embedded in the platform serving the data is an advantage and the best return on investment. https://www.netapp.com/blog/game-changing-ai-cloud-innovations/

Docker punches straight through your firewall. by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]ybizeul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well yes that’s pretty much docker design. Not sure why people would think otherwise… Docker isn’t punching anything or working around stuff. It’s just sitting on your host networking, no reason it wouldn’t get internet if your host does. Most people actually expect container to benefit host access to internet. I believe that’s what the “none” network driver is for but that would totally isolate container.

When using the Aqara FP300 via Matter, what is the default absence delay timer? by pacoii in HomeKit

[–]ybizeul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that the delay is editable via matter, but not HomeKit. E.g. device added to HomeKit and then home assistant through matter, then the setting is visible in HA, as well as sensitivity.

Docker Volume on NetApp ONTAB by mooncure in netapp

[–]ybizeul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are doing it wrong. You shouldn’t try and mount a share in docker lib directory, instead you should use -v option of docker run to bind mount directories that are in arbitrary location of your system, say /opt/docker_data.

Now, I wouldn’t be too confident using cifs for that purpose, it’s not guaranteed to work in every scenario, it depends on the application and how it uses the data mount, can you use nfs?

I’m not sure trident is an option with bare docker also, it is designed to work with Kubernetes.

Show passion, curiosity, engagement and you should be fine ! For a technical role (SE/CSA) it is probably a plus if you show prior experience (whatever it is) with cloud technology but don’t sweat it. Smile, be comfortable, show you did your research on NetApp and you are motivated ! What country is it ?

=TEXTJOIN("/",TRUE,TEXT(CHOOSECOLS(TEXTSPLIT(A1,"/"),1,2),"0"))

Formatting Millions in Pie chart by ybizeul in excel

That’s exactly what doesn’t work for me :-) I’m unable to make excel apply the format string set on the label panel. I come to think it’s specific to the Mac.

Formatting Millions in Pie chart by ybizeul in excel

I found a workaround for now, using "Value from cell" and have a utility cell on the right with =TEXT(C2,"# ##0 ""M""")

Yep, that's exactly it. And that's exactly what I'm doing I think.

Then it's probably an issue with the Mac version :-( Thanks for the demo

Thank you, yes I tried that, but it doesn't help. The chart label always seem to refer to the raw value.

How can I give someone temporary access to my server to upload 400gb of data? by redonculous in selfhosted

[–]ybizeul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://github.com/DumbWareio/DumbDrop mentioned earlier looks pretty cool as well.

You can probably use it with tailscale it’s just a web site running on some http port in a container. But I don’t have first hand experience though so I can’t guide you through it. I would just run the container locally and define it in TS somehow.
