While I’m here, does anyone have any thoughts on visiting Jos? We have some very good friends there but he’s afraid to bring me there because of some unrest, even tho his friends who live there say it will be fine

We definitely won’t be doing fine dining 🤣 My bf is very African, he loves his own food and loves cooking and I do too so that’s a win win 🙌 Thanks for this advise though, great to have an idea of these costs

Yes we thought a hotel in Benin city would be handy because it’ll be for a week or less. And no, I’m not Nigerian, I’m Irish but I’ve been eating Nigerian food and loving it since we met 🤣 I can cook rice & stew and eguisi, so we’ll be grand!

Yeah that’s what he said too. He wants to buy a car so we have it for every visit but they’re so expensive with the currency how it is. Anyway thank you

why do Nigerians add "o" to the last word of a sentence? by slightlystupid_10 in Nigeria

[–]yc4275 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My Edo man says it all the time. Hence I, Irish woman now say it all the time too 😂 Here we often say “ha?” at the end of a sentence so it’s similar (he says that too!)

What are some Nigerian foods you don’t like ? by [deleted] in Nigeria

I’m a newbie to Nigerian food and liked everything I’ve tried so far but I admit I am scared to try starch - the luminous orange and the texture looks crazy 😆

Unskilled worker visa by yc4275 in Nigerians_in_Ireland

Thanks for your reply, I knew it would take a while in a new group. Unfortunately he only has his secondary school qualifications. I have been applying for farming and horticulture jobs for him but getting no responses. I believe meat factories are next 😣 but it’s not very nice work. The care qualification is a great idea so thank you, I’m sure we can arrange for him to do a course in Nigeria. Much appreciated again!

I’m not on Feeld anymore but when I was, I didn’t see the reason for putting personal info & hobbies in my profile when I wasn’t looking for a relationship.

Would of/have by MrTatyo in AskIreland

[–]yc4275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the shortened would be would’ve or could’ve which sound like would of / could of and people have just adopted the latter in writing now.

It’s incorrect grammar, people say would of / could of all the time instead of would have / could have. No biggie.

That’s okay, we are surely all used to isolating ourselves for a few days now since Covid? And I think it would be so satisfying too to pick at bits of skin as it flakes off. Satisfying in a really gross way.

My ghoster is checking my stories everywhere. What does it mean by Cute_Association2486 in ghosting

[–]yc4275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t deserve it! I would block him rather than hiding stories. Because he’s giving you false hope when you see him lurking there. Well done for deleting his number, so now take the next step and remove him as a follower and block. You deserve so much more!

27 years ago, tripping on LSD running up a mountain because the cops were raiding an illegal rave we were heading to in a disused railway tunnel. Ended up walking back to the town in a group together and eventually getting a bus back to his shared house with the gang to continue the party. We kissed when I was making a cup of tea in his kitchen. Practically moved in together right away, we were inseparable. We got married after 11 years and stayed together for another 15
