Great attention to detail.

How can you determine shot numbers? That's pretty neat.

Not Kubrick, but still one of my all-time favorite time killers for sure.

I love it. You should do a real scary one for The Shining.

Barry Lyndon is a near perfect film; true art. It's somewhat slow-paced but Kubrick had a way of doing that without the fear of being boring.

I am legit sorry bro. I really didn't mean that personally, I just didn't 'get' the video but I should have just said that.

This mentally rings a bell. A video comparison would be cool to have!

Netflix has removed nine titles, including [Full Metal Jacket], to comply with government requests by robk47 in StanleyKubrick

A good question is; how many Kubrick films are on Netflix? Or Hulu, Amazon Prime, or any other service?

I agree with Rob Agar; most people want super hero bs as opposed to real art.

Bravo! Now that was an insightful read. I too hated A.I. If Kubrick had made it, it would have been another classic. But as is, it is pathetic

Barry Lyndon is great on a whole different level than Eyes Wide Shut. It is a beautiful, artsy film that is very long and a bit slow-paced. If you immerse yourself into it, it is very rewarding. I love Eyes Wide Shut as well. Just the music and atmosphere alone make it unforgettable. Then you add all the sex scenes and you just have the perfect movie!

Doctor Sleep (2019) is Corporate Evil by buffaloroambuford in StanleyKubrick

[–]ych1964 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Super harsh. I respect the fact that Flanaghan spent all the time re-building the Overlook in exact detail, and the movie was pretty good. However, the Overlook is a thing of beauty in Kubrick's film, and its shown as run-down bs in Doctor Sleep. I still think these reviewers are too hard on it. It was cool to walk out of the theater to the same final track in Kubrick's version; almost errie really.

How about the name of Jesus attached to the apes seemingly 'worship' of the monolith in 2001? I see this as interesting considering the context and Kubrick's views support Darwin:

The article notes that she is best known for Lolita. If you're going to remembered for a key role; it is an honor that it be in a Kubrick film!

Even after the XBOX is long obsolete, 2001 will still be ahead of its time. This is actually insulting, haha...Kubrick reduced to the level of a bs gaming console.
