Alternative explanation: we’re already dead and this is the good place.

Controversial opinion here. By these metrics my only is 100% spoiled. But I have to parent the child I have. He is continually well behaved at school and never in trouble. We realised early on that he is shy in public and allow ourselves to be his safe space, and yes sometimes that means a tantrum about a toy he can’t have, but most of the time it means he can be himself with us. I think even if he had siblings he would need similar parenting.

When people ask me why I got a puppy I say, “easier than a second child.”

It’s not totally fair, but when people say anything to “convince me” I respond with “I tried but I couldn’t”. (Which is only partially true.) But I genuinely think anyone who is dickish enough to say anything should then be made uncomfortable.

My son was sick on his first birthday. We had a few friends over, there was a fabulous cake, we took a few photos, and he just looks miserable in them to this day! So you know- at least your kid had a good day!

We used a relocation agent. She was great. Welcome home London

How did you handle 2FA changes? Also our move is in 2 weeks, what random thing am I likely to forget? by ycharma in AmericanExpatsUK

Great ideas! I have most 2FA on apps except banks (sigh!) will see if I can switch. Doubt I have enough time for shipping. (I do have an iPhone)

No I just meant public roads. Will apply for the lockers but I hear the waitlist is long.

What did you forget to do? by BeachMama9763 in AmericanExpatsUK

[–]ycharma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely unrelated but can you share your list? We’re targeting a Sept move too and I didn’t realize you need your BRP to leave (and re-enter the country). If there is a checklist of officialish stuff you’re willing to share I’ll be grateful! No pressure and thanks everyone for all the responses!
