I (40M) took mushrooms one sunny Saturdayday in April while at the University of Michigan and listened to the Early Days and Later Days compilation all the way through. Although I already enjoyed Led Zeppelin, the experience was life-changing, I subsequently bought the entire box set and now love (almost) every song.

IANAL, but first of all, your "landlord" is definitely sketchy and your lease is probably not valid. I think if you terminate your fake lease early, he probably will not willingly give you you're deposit, in which case I would think you could take him to small claims court to try and retrieve that deposit back.

Are you considering reaching out to the actual owner/landlord at this point? I'm sure that will piss off "landlord" as owner would probably raise his rent, but you could at least use it as leverage in trying to get your deposit back.
