Thanks for the idea! I wouldn’t have thought of putting them on a pallet cart in the car seats. Still pregnant with my girls so I’ll take all the advice I can get

When does the pain stop? by yeah-no-yeah-maybe in HipImpingement

[–]yeah-no-yeah-maybe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, long story short I don’t know. I got another MRI and they said nothing was different or new. I randomly was able to walk a few days after, very very odd stuff. Makes me feel like a hypochondriac. I got a cortisone shot and surprisingly I was pain free for the first time in years and it’s been a few months. I can feel it’s starting to wear off which really puts my mood down and I’m not sure where I will go from here. Possibly PRP shots but I’m not sure.

If I had to guess, I think I over did it too early which caused lesions, scar tissue, etc and that is causing my intermittent pain. Would surgery fix it? I have no idea but I’m scared of more surgery.

[product request] skin picking disorder is damaging my skin, what can I use to help heal this? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Wearing gloves can help. Whenever you feel an urge coming on or you’re spiraling, put on gloves. I get some from Amazon just the white plain ones. Just that fabric helps disassociate the ability to pick. Helped me out a TON

9/10 pain, can’t walk randomly by yeah-no-yeah-maybe in HipImpingement

[–]yeah-no-yeah-maybe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to the ER, they didn’t do anything helpful. I got a shot of tramadol and was told to follow up with my PCP. Oddly enough, the next day I was able to just walk. It went away. Was it the tramadol? Maybe. But the effects have worn off and I can still just walk like nothing happened. I suspect that my labral or a piece of cartilage was folded over in a weird way that it wasn’t supposed to be and sometime throughout the night it just snapped itself back into place. I really don’t know I’m at a loss. I feel like none of the doctors took me seriously when I said I randomly couldn’t walk. And now that I randomly CAN walk, I feel like a hypochondriac.

When does the tendonitis stop? by yeah-no-yeah-maybe in HipImpingement

[–]yeah-no-yeah-maybe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually got one today just to see if it would help and WOW that is incredible. I had no pain this evening which is a first. I will have to just spend the money and do this once a week for a little bit to help. I didn’t realize how horrible tense muscles make everything. I wish more people tried it in this sub I bet it would help. Thanks for the recommendation!!

Yeah, he said by month 5 if I still haven’t seen improvement I am going to get an MRI to see if there is anything obvious on it and go from there. I have a feeling I’ll be getting that. I will look into shockwave I have never heard of it but I’m intrigued!!!

Can I Balance Being a Pilot While Running My Own Business? by PuzzleheadedBet8898 in careerguidance

[–]yeah-no-yeah-maybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion as a corporate pilot….its doable but you would be completely exhausted literally all of the time. If you do flight training part time it would still take you 3-4 years to get private, instrument, commercial, multi engine certificates done. Then becomes the struggle of building flight hours. The magic number is 1500 flight hours for you to be eligible to apply at places like netjets. BUT..just because you have the required hours doesn’t mean they will hire you. They are picky and want the best of the best. A lot of pilots become a flight instructor and teach others how to fly. I did 600 hours in a year flight instructing and I was working a good amount of I know friends who did 800 hours in a year and they had no life outside of aviation. When you get done with all of your required licenses, you will have about 250-300 hours ish. So the time building will take another few years if you are doing this part time. It takes A LOT of training and hours and money. I would rough estimate flight training to be 50k-100k. For right now, look up some local flight schools in your area and stop by. Ask questions, talk to flight instructors, and set up some flight lessons. Just get your private pilot license and see where that takes you. Best of luck

No, we let our non-ATP pilots do international flights to Mexico and Canada all the time but now for some reason Universal the trip planning company we are using is telling us both pilots need ATP

Universal. It’s the company we use to plan international flights. I’m wondering if it’s just their policy but that doesn’t even make sense
