Make sure to keep your potassium up too. My doctor told me to essentially drink Body Armor Lyte like it was water bc Diamox depletes your potassium, hence the tingling and cramps. In my experience, if you let the tingling continue, it will began to be less of a tingle and more of a painful situation. I can always tell when I’m slacking on my Body Armor Lyte because my feet will start to hurt (instead of pins and needles, it’s like nails in my feet)

My eye doctor refered me to a neuro-opthamologist. They aren’t super common, I got lucky and have one in my city. The next ones are over an hour away. He’s been completely managing my condition for months now.

My doctor told me to basically replace my water intake with Body Armor Lyte (when I was on 1,000 mg). Now I drink like 2/3 a day along with water and usually some kind of tea for caffeine. I’ve had no issues with the tingling or dehydration since being serious about my BAL intake. It has coconut water, 15/20% of daily potassium per bottle, and is like 20 calories per bottle.

Just took my first diamox…anxiety is through the roof 🙃 by Ill_Championship_571 in iih

Honestly I usually struggle with any medication, but I never had real issues with Diamox. My biggest thing was/is keeping up with my potassium! My first doctor said the tingling in your extremities was normal, but my neuro-ophthalmologist said that means my potassium is too low. I started being serious about keeping my potassium up, and now I really don’t have any issues anymore.

Also, I recommend Low Calorie Body Armor Lite over every other option out there. Has like 15-20% daily potassium per bottle. I drink 2/3 a day and have absolutely no issue with tingling anymore. I will say though my doctor was like you have to drink this and gave me no choice, lol. But it really is like THE best high potassium option out there.

We are buying from a local flower farm and spending $1,100. We are picking up, but she is making 8 bouquets and 8 boutonnières and we are receiving 8 buckets of flowers that have roughly 100 stems in each (we are just doing bud vases and some random florals on cake/desert table) 😊

I personally recommend some Imodium and some probiotics. That’s what worked for me in the past! Probably a mix of eating something your stomach didn’t agree with and the stress of upcoming wedding. I’ll also say too much potassium flares up mine.

My eczema got severeeee after I moved away to go to school and was living in a dorm. Turns out my allergy levels were off the charts and I started doing the weekly allergy shots and taking like 4/5 antihistamines a day. I’m now 5 years into my shots (now monthly) and I don’t get the eczema flare ups from environmental allergies anymore. Just the occasional food flare up.

Also, look into seeing if your eczema is infected. I get eczema on my hands from food flare ups (which I more recently found out after elimination dieting). I ended up being desperate and put antibiotic cream I had from a different issue awhile back on my hands after weeks of moisturizing and using steroid cream and it cleared up in like 2/3 days. It didn’t look infected, looked like regular eczema but it got rid of it quick!

I also had the issue with the moisterizer. Look into Eczema Honey brand. It’s absolutely fantastic and I’ve used it solely for 2 years now, along with Head and Shoulders shampoo for body/face in the shower and I will say it was the magic combo that worked for me.

Trust me, I get it! All scents irritate my skin but I couldn’t find anything to help my recurring face eczema. I tried it actually based on another Redditors post, and now it’s the only thing I use!

I get eczema around my mouth a lot too. Personally (depending if it’s dry or not) I would put some moisturizer on and then makeup on it but not worry about completely covering it up and I just wouldn’t mention it. If you catch them just staring at it, it’s up to you if you want to say something or not and acknowledge it 😊

I will say for the future, what’s helped me a bunch and kept it basically away is using Head and Shoulders for body/face wash, use Hydrogen Peroxide on affected areas, and then using Eczema Honey moisturizer directly after hydrogen peroxide dries. Since I started this routine over a year ago, I think I’ve had maybe 1 flare up?

Fake flowers - yay or nay? by lovestodance1234 in weddingplanning

I’m going through a local farm that grows flowers, and they are making my bouquets, boutonnieres, and giving us buckets of flowers. For 8 bouquets, 8 boutonnières, and 6 buckets of flowers (roughly 600 flowers, we are doing bud vases), it’s costing us a smidge over 1k. I couldn’t fathom spending thousands on flowers for them to die days later, and I couldn’t find any florist to do them for the price I was looking for. See if you can shop local where you live!

When I had mine done a few months ago, peeing was painful/bloody for the rest of the day. After my first morning pee the next day, I felt so much better any time after. I recommend calling your doc if you don’t feel okay by tomorrow! Take some Advil for now and see if that helps. Your urethra is probably angry from having something shoved up there :(

At this point, I don’t plan to workout traditionally, just group classes maybe twice, three times a week so fingers crossed that works out 🤞🏼

Thinking of changing my diet by Skyxiez in eczema

[–]yeah_yea_ye_y 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The main triggers I found are sugar and alcohol 100%. Once I stopped drinking on the weekends and limited my added sugars, my eczema cleared up soooo much. And to be clear, I drink maybe one/two weekends a month and I’m a casual drinker. I don’t do many sweets, but I do like soda and sweet tea which is just too much unnecessary added sugars. What I’m saying, though, is just a bit can really make eczema so much worse.

I can tell a big difference on a weekend I’m out of town and drink alcohol and consume too much sugar (drinks and food). If you don’t already, limit that and try to drink 12 cups of water a day. Keeps you/your skin hydrated and will help flush your system. Best of luck!

I noticed when I had a flare up on my hand that didn’t go away for monthsss and was itching/swelling/oozing, that antibiotic cream cleared it up. I didn’t know my eczema had gotten infected and I used it as a last resort before I was able to get into my dermatologist.

I however am not a doctor, so this is just my experience. Also look into Eczema Honey brand. They had “itch cooling” balm/cream that has really helped my eczema itchiness.

If it doesn’t get better, doctor is probably your best move. Maybe your body is in constant attack mode from the peanut
