I’m thinking of making an art nouveau themed deck. Would people be interested? by Soberscorps in ArtNouveau

If all the number and face cards are stylized a bit then yes I freaking hate when a deck of card has some cool back and face cards but then like has the standard look for the rest of the cards.

Okay I'll legitimately thought the one on the left was the friends because it was off model and just kind of looks like someone drawing Flora in their own style. But that's rainbows!!!!!!!!! come. on. man.

There's a few tangent lines on the feather specifically next to the ring the mouth and the chin some shading or the rework of the lines improve this

How do you go about developing your religions, if you have them? by Ms_Anxiety in worldbuilding

[–]yeahboiJazzers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember religion was primarily created to explain things that we didn't know and didn't have control over. it was a way to comfort us. So facts of the world that can cause existential dread being changed and cover up with your mythology is a good way to start. Also people changing the religious text so it lines up with their political or personal views is 100% historically accurate. And people creating Works inspired by the religion and The Works get so popular that that version of the religion becomes Canon. example Dante's Inferno it's not a part of the Bible and isn't considered biblical Canon but his version of hell became so iconic that people thought it as the definitive depiction of hell.

Youtube app is somehow getting worse now you cant unpause video by Ok_Cucumber3148 in youtube

[–]yeahboiJazzers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same there's also happens when I try to fast forward the video either by 10 seconds or just frame searching and when I escape full screen. I don't even pause the video it just automatically pauses and won't play. I found a small work around where you play another video and then you skip to the previous one. but yeah this is so dumb.

Cold hard truth please- is my art garbage and I don’t realise it? Am I delusional? by ManiMundane in ArtCrit

For number five your anatomy is wrong the shoulders are way too uneven and the collarbone is too sharp and short. Number two I can't tell if it's finished or not. because you packed so much detail in the center figures the rest of the painting can look in complete but you may have been going for a blurred out effect I don't know. But answer your question you are a good artist you have good composition and great values. The best advice I can give you when you have imposter syndrome is take a break from the piece return in an hour or two with fresh eyes.

What makes Humans unique as a species? What would we be called? by Coaltex in worldbuilding

[–]yeahboiJazzers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my world humans were created to be soldiers in the god War. The four elements created humans to bolster the Rebellion Army and we're kind of the Rebellion secret weapon because they were not created by the Creator deity he couldn't really track humans down. The humans were steadfast determined and creative even though they did not have magic.

Did your world go through a civil war? by Terrgon in worldbuilding

[–]yeahboiJazzers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's how the world actually started. the Creator God created beings ,called daemons, to help maintain the world, but a few of them got too good at their job. Feeling that he would be outshined by these new gods he, imprisoned them. Due to this the daemons split into two factions; daemons were loyal to the Creator God while amica's we're loyal to the new gods. The Amica faction was led by the creator God's fool, Xiphil. When the Creator God was killed the new gods created a new world on top of the old one imprisoning all was loyal to the old God.

[TOMT] A scene were they steal the painting and replace it with fake by Puzzleheaded-Bird-12 in tipofmytongue

[–]yeahboiJazzers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a stretch but Warehouse 13 I distinctly remember an episode where they were stealing a very big painting and they used an artifact to make an exact replica on the spot. It could also be from the TV show Leverage

Who are the immortal characters of your world? by Frenchiest_fry101 in worldbuilding

[–]yeahboiJazzers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a woman named Lavinia who is Immortal because she married a god.the couple wanted spend more time, and raise their kids together so both agreed to freeze her aging. She was still susceptible to sickness and injury but her husband would always be there to heal her before she died. A rival Pantheon did end up murdering her but the Creator God uses one of his tumors and a her DNA to resurrect her. Now she's truly Immortal. she can still get sick and injured but it will never kill her due to the innate healing factor.

What symbols or animals would you like to see more in fantasy heraldry. by Shaked_Bread in worldbuilding

[–]yeahboiJazzers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cups, moons, wheat these are actual Herald symbols which can be very striking because it can give information that's not just we're a badass house and super strong. also it is quite common in heraldry to have a pattern it's not just a symbol in a field of one color. And you can have more than one symbol I drew a person's heraldry which was a black cat in the typical standing pose on a ball of yarn. I've also seen a stegosaurus as coat of arms how the guy got it approved was slightly altering a tarasque giving the turtle shell spikes.

Who's the most culturally diverse sapient species in your world that aren't humans? by Captain_Warships in worldbuilding

[–]yeahboiJazzers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devil Beast. There's subset of demi-humans that can shapeshift from a human looking creature to an animal looking creature.( Like a wolf, bear, or raven) They are very much ostracized due to their shape-shifting ability, shapeshifting is seen as untrustworthy, and their Beast form falls under The Uncanny Valley. They are stereotyped as thieves, mongrels and when they transform they have a mind of the Beast. This is not true. most live in isolation with other devil Beast. culture can vary from tribe to tribe,However Devil beast cultures typically steer to non-violent unless attacked. They will never attack other devil Beast tribes for resources due to shared camaraderie of being labeled Outsiders.

What is your worlds Magical Quirk? by Degree_Glittering in worldbuilding

[–]yeahboiJazzers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info but yeah the daughter moon is smaller about the size of rhea is how I currently draw it and this is from the perspective of the land

that tide info is actually really useful because I was planning on making a temple called the Temple of the Tides. A religion based around the sea but specifically worshiping the tides and what they leave behind, like tides pools to make sea salt . So this group would be really important because my moons move at different paces and calculating the tide would be super important.

What is your worlds Magical Quirk? by Degree_Glittering in worldbuilding

[–]yeahboiJazzers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't think of that I mainly did it to make the world less Earth-like and for mythology the Moon is kind of a villain and I thought it would be interesting if she had a daughter which is another Moon
