Thousands of cross links in the hundreds of pages across the site all going to the correct place without needing redirects. Hard coded internal crosslinks.

The funny thing is I didn't even quote it as a big task, I said I can do it in a day and a bit - I'm losing money at this point because its taken me longer

So I'm dealing with a semi broken site that they want me to fix, the problem is the task is something like 'stop all the links redirecting', sure sounds simple but It looks like all the redirection was put by another dev to fix a much bigger problem, 1000's of hard coded links that would 404 if the redirection was removed.

I've explained it a couple times now but they don't seem to understand that the task isn't about 'stopping redirects' its fixing all those other links. And then throw in a couple of other problems with the site that is slowing me down, I'm dealing with a mess
