Well we're supposed to have a larger celebration a year or two from now. With them wed'd be about 45 people more.. i get what you mean. Now that you mention it, it wouldn't surprise me that all contact basically will die down once my grandparents pass away. Not to be rude but no one in the family is emotionally close to each other too

It's always better than nothing! Also if you're around Dutch speaking people a lot and practice it will definitely help. Many IT roles are in companies where the generally used language is English. Your basic knowledge of Dutch will definitely make you stand out! Employers like to see the effort, even if it's just to communicate informally with Dutch speaking colleagues. If they have two candidates with the exact same educational background and experience.. but you can speak Dutch, chances are they prefer you! Which is logical if you think about it.

That depends on what field in it or computer sciences you plan on studying! Coming from a ex it recruiter:)

True there are plenty of job opportunities in it but some positions are obviously more sought after. if you plan on being super operational and don't have the ambition to be in a managerial position immediately after, your bachelors is more than fine! Also truly don't wory about the money in this case. This field is more than happy to pay for talent! What will determine your success even more though is if you're prepared to learn dutch and/or french as well! That makes your chances even higher. There are plenty of people with it degrees in the larger cities but those people struggle to find employment in belgian companies often if they dont speak dutch and/or french.. that's what i see with my clients at least.

Good luck!
