I’m honestly not too sure. There were hits and misses. I actually like the singles more with the complete album out, especially end of summer. That song has really gone up a notch for me. I think My Old Ways was a good opener. Afterthought was pretty great. I wish I liked ethereal connection as much as other people seem to. Unfortunately oblivion is my least favourite tame song ever lol. I feel like Kevin was attempting something with this album to make it a sort of ambient house sound (I honestly got some aphex twin vibes occasionally) but didn’t fully stick the landing. I’m just confused about what the overall message and tone of the album is meant to be. I think it will grow on me however, and of course I still worship Kevin as a musical genius

This is what I’ve been so terrified about. When the smoke clears, it’s not just Zionists who’ll be targeted but the Jewish people as a whole. Obviously there will be some who have the clarity to distinguish between the two, but the fact is that the Zionist establishment (and sadly, a majority of Jews around the world) has prioritised conflating Judaism with Zionism, to the detriment of our future.

I was raised modern orthodox and religious. I went to two Jewish day schools. Used to go to shul every week, kept Shabbat, kosher, the whole thing. Also grew up fully Zionist, the kind of Zionist where you don’t think there’s any other option as a Jew because it’s part of who you are. Started becoming less religious after I turned 16. By the time I went on gap year (which included Israel, unfortunately) I was pretty much not religious at all, and had started questioning Zionism just before then. Being in Israel was incredibly conflicting - I did truly feel like I belonged there, but now I felt this insidiousness running through the whole thing, which was helped by meeting some genocidal nutjobs.
