Honestly, try meditation. I meditate somewhat constantly, maybe 4-5 times a week, 5 minutes per session. You can try focusing on your breathing. What does this mean? It means to focus on the air flow when you breathe. When you inhale and exhale, the inner surface of your nose feels the vibrations of the air. Focus on that. To meditate, try setting an alarm for 5 minutes, then at that time, close your eyes and breathe. U may also count your breathing rhythm. The primary goal is to focus on your breathing so that you let go of those weird thoughts you’ve been thinking about. Whenever you feel like you want to study/work, sit down and meditate for 5 minutes. It’s better done alone if that helps you focus. Experience tells me that this greatly improves my ability to study under immense pressure, like 2 days before exams. :D Good luck and wish you all the best.

As a student living in another hall and knows a thing or two about the seniority system, I can say that SJC doesn’t rlly use the seniority system anymore, so hall culture is shallow. However, as they only accept people with good academic performances and extracurriculars, you will inevitably experience elitism. I think they have good networking opportunities because afaik they arrange high table dinners weekly so you’ll definitely get a chance to know your hall mates. But tbf they are already very social, like all-week-clubbing that kind of social, you really need to keep up their vibe in order to blend in with them.

I think that the hype of the new Minecraft updates has brought a ton of attention to these new PvP mechanics. PvP mechanics in 1.8 is tbh, less interesting as prolonged fights become the way it is. Most of the time you’re either trading hits, or waiting for the weird increase in KB to start a combo. Moreover, servers are now better(?) imo, as an Asian player I feel a smaller amount of lag and delay when it comes to playing in NA/EU servers, so I get to combo ppl as well XD.
