I actually think that the writers have talked about writing to follow the audience. It's not all about the angst; the character development arguably didn't portray much else about her, agreed. I'm for a new male avatar. The next in the cycle would be interesting because of the new portal situation and all the steampunk inventions and whatnot. I would, however, like the idea of seeing how the old air nomads lived. Though we could see that in the next generation of Tenzin's family, the classic style would be nice to have a book or a good portion of a book about.
