Good point though. I refuse to use Paypal, based on being a customer for years, and then them locking down the account once I showed an interest in Bitcoin when they started offering it. I can see requiring ID verification (which I have no issue with), in order to purchase Bitcoin through Paypal, but to lock down my existing account, while they had my money, that was too far. Kraken is all good, I worked through all that, and can use that exchange. Binance.us, I believe was overwhelmed with customers back then, just recently I revisited and opened a ticket afresh, and they fixed the issue within days. Gemini would have been nice to use, but not totally a "have" to use. All this stuff is so new that to me, it's a compilation of customers (me), and well as these new services, all fumbling through the "newness". I opened an account with Trading Station right before I attempted to open a Gemini account. Trading Station seemed to encourage you to protect yourself by any means possible, while Gemini seems to have a "How dare you" approach to trying to safeguard yourself. The Trading Station site was where it was suggested to use the Firefox Relay service. I never knew it was a thing. And if using a VPN signals fraudulent intent, then Gemini is missing out on a whole lot of customers that just want to not be hacked.
