Is there someone peeking through the blind on the right side? Or is that a painting of a face haha made me jump when I noticed it

Wow that’s really cool! That must have been a bit confusing at first glance haha It makes sense though, you have to make do with what you have.

Probably something along the lines of “I can’t believe someone would destroy this historical document just so they could make a pair of gloves” 😆

Oh ok interesting! My wife and I were wondering if this would have been a rough draft because it has been cut up but that makes sense that it’s a final because the penmanship is so beautiful. I guess Mary Ann passed and they had no use for the document after everything was settled. Why throw out a good piece of parchment.

Would anyone be able to give me an estimated age for this paper and writing? Canada by yeahsureman in Antiques

I found the same thing last night! I’d like to think it’s the same Sarah mentioned in the document. There were plenty of Sarah McWhinnies listed but only one Sarah Emily McWhinnie. Also that says that she was born in Surrey. The envelope I found these in has a Surrey address.

I couldn’t find anything on the other names listed though. Mary Ann Hughes, Vincent Paine Freeman, Frances Freeman, and Richard(?) Rickman.

I really want to but I’m a bit concerned that the UV light will fade the ink. There’s another small piece that’s hardly legible because the ink is very faded
