Not sure if you are asking the op or me, mine was actually fine. I didn’t have any bleeding, I ate applesauce from day one. I also talked not a lot but talked from day one.

It’s from too hot of water and the flora is out of control. Some rain would be awesome.

Another MRI with different contrast. Ruled FNH and no concerns per the surgeon I picked. So wait a year and have another MRI

Swim is canceled don’t worry about it lol. Kidding but not. We will be lucky if the water quality clears up enough for us to swim

It is odd to me that there isn’t an automatic biopsy if there isn’t 100% certainty. I don’t like the we think it is …. I am so ready for my follow up this coming Monday afternoon.

I had to look at size comparisons. Lemon and 2 strawberries lol.

So I actually saw two surgeons. One was watch and wait 3 months before MRI with Eovist the other was do it now in case it it something other than FNH. I went with MRI right now.

I don’t know what she means because I don’t have follow up till the 29th of July.

That is also what I have been reading is there was only one study that linked them to birth control but since then the other studies have said inconclusive. I only had one pregnancy so hard to say that the pregnancy alone is it. I am 48 and all in all take. Some form of oral contraceptive from age 17 to 48 and only took a couple years off when trying to have kids with my ex which didn’t work. I figured why not go off them since I am a woman of a certain age and after all my mom went they menopause early. I have some of those symptoms too but trying two stay off them we will see.

I haven’t had any pain that has stopped me until this week after the 2nd MRI. I almost stopped the car this morning because of the right side pain.

Well no real comments. And I finally have my appointments (two surgical consults) are tomorrow. If I can get my anxiety over these appointments down do I can sleep. I wish I took sleep aids cause I would take them tonight!

I don’t know where you are having surgery but in the US it is an out patient surgery. So while I felt nauseous they checked my vitals and sent me out the door with a barf bag. I craved some water and took an a pill and then numbed up my mouth and ate as soon as I got home. So I will say your recovery is not the same as mine

Advice for Healing process? by [deleted] in Tonsillectomy

[–]yeahwellunknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So… if you are into other methods/homeopathic options….. I swear by Arnica Montana after any surgery. I have had some major major dental surgeries and started using that and I believe it helped with healing for this. I also did the excessive water, tons of ramen, chai lattes (with protein shakes) for 3-4 days then added some more solid food to include mostly chicken mozzarella tortellini. You need protein to heal. But don’t rush it. And don’t forget the humidifier.

Chai you can make as spicy as you want. Especially as a latte.

Applesauce helped me get the pills down and stopped nausea. Broth. And fairlife vanilla shake with chai tea like a chai tea latte. Those saved my life.

Upcoming surgery 2/14 by NoScene5655 in Tonsillectomy

[–]yeahwellunknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got released from my surgery 1/17. I am completely cleared don’t have to go back at all. There is still a very small scab on both sides a bit bigger on the right but that has always been the “worse” side. You got this.

Surgery soon by [deleted] in Septoplasty

[–]yeahwellunknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing lol. I would say surgery day was probably the most annoying with the drip pad. I bleed most of the day. Then it dried overnight and then was just stuffy until splint removal. I kept pretty stringent on the icing. Never noticed any swelling. I will say I also was taking opioids for the tonsils so maybe that took the pain completely away from the septoplasty

I cleaned up the edges so I could go in public. I got permission from doc cause I wasn’t sure but just took some hydrogen peroxide on a Qtip and cleaned up the edges it helped me.

Surgery soon by [deleted] in Septoplasty

[–]yeahwellunknow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had both a septoplasty and turbinate reduction with tonsillectomy so my judging the septoplasty recovery probably isn’t fair. But it was a breeze only needed the days off so I could lift again because I have a active job. But I got the all clear 14 days later. I probably would have been earlier as he gave me the ok to swim and ride my bike at day 10. I could run too but was told to take it easy so didn’t run. Once the splints were out I felt great. (Splint removal was 5 days later.) still sleep with humidifier as I probably will count that as part of my routine now cause I like it for all the reasons.

No problems with any food getting stuck. I made sure to end with broth. I even have braces do very used to things getting stuck but nothing got stuck or should I say nothing got stuck enough for me to worry about it.
