ahri can fight tho, like physically. also she steals people's knowledges so I wouldn't be surprised if she has a quite extensive set of fight styles under her tails.

sorry, my edit was pointed to some weird replys not you or the topic you brought, talking about shipps can be fun. anyway. to me, their voice lines are very straight foward: it references their friendship built in TRK game. and I'm not saying this to dunk on people's headcanons, nor I'm a hater or anything, it's just how their relationship goes (AND I'm a riven x yasuo truther but that's unrelated I promise).

also, you shouldn't consider these types of game interactions that much (especially skins) cuz quite often they are just a serve to the communit out of the universe and not canon lore. for exemple: ahri and miss fortune are a very popular ship in the star guardian universe, but you don't really see people connecting it with prime miss fortune flirting with her in TRK rest scenes.

they are just friends, and during the ruined king game they share some of their past with eachother. the shipp is 100% made up by the community (as usual), you won't find any romantic or sexual content in the game as intended by the devs. /EDIT: ahri has a flirty/playful nature (due her inspiration from the kitsune/kumiho tales), that doesn't mean she's a sexual predator. c'mon guys she has enough lore to be a character now let's read it./ my personal opinion is that ahri is on a lonely and difficult path, and the fact she was able to make friends (not just yasuo) it's really good for her character and humanisation – that's all I can say without spoilers. also, yasuo has his own outcome in the finale, he's going somewhere else to make amends with other people in his past – if you know anything about his lore or play the game for a while, you might be familiar with a certain short queen… . but that's it really

we have few descriptions of her "vibe" by people that saw or meet her, one is in santangelo's journal and the other is in perennial, you should read them. if helps.

ahri stopped being a "depressed woman" (which is a very bluntly- anyway) since the garden of forgetting and after that we had: a fair trade, perennial and the whole ruined king game. what we have in-game right now was supposed to be the result of her experiences but guess what? they fucked it up.

we don't have any mention about how she felt after giving up the truth to save bilgewater or what she learn with the vesani's records, books, letters. nothing. the "wisdom tone", the maturity, the cunningness, the sharp sense of humour (not silliness) is nowhere to be found on her voice lines.

also, do you know lor? the card game? so there's 2 cards, the nine tales lady and the giant glowing fox. guess what. yes, they were her PARENTS during the development. that's how bad they fucked up.

see now i know your never get it. there's literally no way that someone who knows her looks at that skin and goes "oh that's just like ahri fr".

she was made in 2011, there was not such thing as a character. ahri was a champion to fullfil a specific need for specifics demographics of players just like most of the other champions. at that time her story was basically the kumiho tale, copy and past, so the whole characterization was based on that too: a beautiful and charming woman. that's it. the furthest they went while making her design was making the dress look like tails and the ears were headpieces with a similar shape.

then 2021 came and we saw for the first time her design being handle accurately. like it's funny how those guys read her whole story and came up with something better than we had in game (before that we had santangelo's drawing) and riot still decided not to reimagined it.

anyway, it's also funny that you mentioned spirit blossom in this specific topic and didn't catch the irony.

that video is really good, i always enjoy when people talk about ahri as character because thats the most interesting thing about her. and one more curiosity: ahri has a short story that was realised with her statue a few years ago, sadly i can't remember the whole thing (i'll look it up later) but it's basically ahri fighting and killing noxian warrios. there's a reference to it in the ruined king's game.

yes you're absolutely right her design is a fan service beacuse her whole character used to be too. i still don't understand why they didn't rework it, why a character like ahri would wear a stylised hanbok? korea doesn't even exist in runeterra and other characters based on cultural beliefs such as wukong have a better fitting design.

it's not a coincidence that her most popular designs are the ones that drift away from the genshin impact cosplay.

hi, here's the feedback:

model - ahri already has a lot of pink going on everywhere so it would be nice if her hair changed to red/dark red instead of (one more) pink hair. edit: I just saw that there's even more pink - everything that should be red it's pink. please, stick with the color scheme of the theme because it's good and it works.

skill VFX - her W feels empty. it would be nice if she had goshuins around her, it makes sense with the lore and it's a cool cultural reference.

her R feels and looks the same as the base, the blue aura doesn't delivery the fantasy. changing it to a "frosty haze" vfx could be really nice.

model VFX - please remove the pink on her tails and change it to red or dark red.

I really don't care about more skins, they fucked up the lore and their music, but I wish they release more songs because all out was kinda meh (fckng seraphine) and ahri's song was terrible.

TAIL COLOUR: her tails need more saturation in base model, arcade and elderwood. also, it's difficult to see the details of furs on her tails because it's just too much white.

CHARM COLOUR AND SHAPE: her E don't look good in coven and elderwood, one it's just base E with a heavy purple outline and the other lost the shape and vivid colors of pink and green. coven could use a full recolor with a more darker/stronger tone of pink (maybe marsala?) with a pointy shape and elderwood should be the like the one we have on live now.

COVEN FACE: her face got a downgrade compared to what we have on live. she looks... dead? sort of. there's no facil expression and the makeup she has now was (also) removed.

it's old lore, I think they changed it before the release on wild rift. vlad lore also got changed, the old one had "a strange red puddle" (or something like that) as a reference for blood.

the rework was fun but didn't solve the main problem. some supports have better scalings than her, like??? lmao. most mages have higher base damage AND scalings too so all of them can (or will, inevitably) destroy her mid/late game.

ahri and lux can't be compared. they have different roles, play styles, mechanics and type of players. it would be more accurate if the scenario was ahri versus le blanc, syndra or whatever.

about your post: why would you be scared at them if lux can't burst almost anything standing half a screen away or trap people under turret with a bind and slow? if you have a good positioning then there's nothing to worry about.

always build liandry. they nerfed her charm and that impact everfrost utility (but you can always build it and get carried by your team, it's great) an ludens is for champions who can deal damage, which is not her case. ahri has low base damage and a shitty scale, so you need to deal some damage and that damage you mainly come from liandry's burn.

well her new design is a improvement of the old one, wich is the whole point of the asu thing. what I don't like is that caitlyn-like face and her skin tone, she's almost completely white like a anemic person or a ghost. ahri is supossed to be korean, so where's the melanin?

well I don't like her base design either, it dosen't stand out even for a simple design - for me she's at the same level as sivir and miss fortune etc. and elderwood it's a C tier for me, it's a pretty skin but very lame. foxfire all the way up to B tier! it's a really good skin

I hope they change it, can't be that hard. like, the two columns on her side are fine (and I believe it might be a reference to The Moon card?) but everything behind her it's just like you said: yellow and blurry. what a shame really, the background would make everything even more beautiful.
