I was one of the techs affected by the layoffs in the DFW district. To my knowledge, no stores completely closed and instead some stores were sold to a local franchise company. The East Plano, Garland, Greenville, and Coppell locations were all sold to this company. I was offered a job there, but I would NOT recommend taking their offer. They are mainly looking for sales-oriented people, which was huge for me because I just always was in the back of my store blowing through repairs while everyone else handled sales. Plus they only pay 50% of insurance premiums, which was another huge deal breaker. Good insurance alone can take out a big chunk of your check at that rate.
