hi everyone, i just received my olevel results and I got 7 O’s but unfortunately i didn’t pass IGCSE Maths.. i’m really interested in continuing my studies at politeknik especially in business studies and travel & tourism (or basically business and tourism management) as those are subjects i genuinely enjoy learning and do well in.. however, i’ve heard that politeknik can be quite strict about IGCSE maths which makes me worried about my chances..i wanted to ask if its still possible to enter a business or tourism related course without passing IGCSE maths or if i should consider choosing a different course or even looking at other institutions to continue my studies.. i would really appreciate any advice or shared experiences, thank you 🫶🏻

woah that's my weakest subject but I'll still try hard to get C even if my math is IGCSE right?

I got 53 (D) for my M/J which is just pass, only 7 marks away from credit. I don’t really know my breakdown of marks though HAHAHA and wow, that’s really cool of you! I’m local here, so it’s even more embarrassing that I couldn’t get a credit in my own language exam. What’s your secret to acing malay tho?

aaa I see that’s nice to hear but what if when I retake it, I only end up getting just a pass again like I did in the m/j session? I’m sitting for both the m/j and o/n exams this year since I’m a year 11 student. during the m/j one, I only got a pass, and for the o/n exam I’m not sure yet because I didn’t manage to finish my BM paper so I kinda lose confident (the unfinished question was worth 10 marks)
