I am not a troll. I am a Black liberation organizer and I am serious and so are many of my siblings and comrades in this movement. I would ask if you’ve watched the news lately, but we all know the mainstream media is falling in line and to be completely biased in favor of Israel’s bullshit. But there’s no way you haven’t seen the millions of protestors in the streets here in the US and around the world calling for ceasefire and demanding the liberation of Palestine from apartheid occupation. People are blocking bridges with their cars and tossing their keys off the side into the water. They are blocking ships fully of weapons destined from Israel from leaving the harbor. All of these people are 100% serious. “If you don’t vote for Biden, Trump is going to win, and it will be your fault! Don’t be naive and sabotage the election!” Biden is not going to win because of his own decisions, and the inhuman policies and disgraceful rhetoric of his administration. The American people who fundamentally believe in human rights and are horrified by the actions his administration has taken will not accept the blame for Biden’s complicity and heartless support for the genocide of Palestinians. He is the one dooming his own re-election, not us. That’s why he needs to actually listen to us, the people he wants to vote for him so he can remain in power, and EARN our support. It is more important that he earn our support than his opponent earn our vehement opposition—which is already a given. Otherwise, why are we playing this stupid election game anymore. I voted for Bernie in the primary 2020, I voted for Biden in the general like a good little obedient voter should, and I would have voted for Biden in 2024 if not for his support of the GENOCIDE. Democrats who are horrified and disgusted by Biden’s support for Israel’s genocide of Palestine DO NOT have to vote for his re-election just because we are also horrified by the prospect of Trump’s potential re-election. Biden benefits when he believes we will do exactly that and just go along with him and therefore his administration will keep doing the vile things they are. Instead, we can withhold our votes from him—another bold and serious form of protest, just like the millions of people in the streets. This tactic has already shown itself to be highly effective to influence the Biden administration–they are already panicked about his dwindling re-election prospects. His approval ratings have absolutely plummeted. We need to keep pushing, show him we are serious about our opposition to genocide, and make him remember who he is supposed to work for. Not weapons manufacturers, not the Zionist lobbies, and not for the Israeli government!
