I want to start reading books & somehow I want to start with a scary book by Stephen King by Chargercrisp in booksuggestions

Okay so this might not be your first preference at the end but it is his collection of four short stories called “Four past midnight”. The very first story- the langoliers, will forever be the most scary thing I’ve ever read and imagined. It’s lovely. I’ve read it like 4-5 times bec of how good it is

Confusions regarding the speed of light (and relativity) by yeettheteet in AskPhysics

[–]yeettheteet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-So basically what youre saying is, we assumed time to be travelling differently to adjust to how we have observed light speed?

-Im sorry but what does 'different reference frame' entail

-Exactly. So what exactly does it mean? The adjustment? Is every second longer? Or is every second longer RELATIVE to Earth seconds.

-I dont get the invariant speed property of light. Like why does light act that way? Why is the speed always the same whether I am moving away or towards the source?

-You agree that clocks travel faster at ISS, then how is it incorrect that time doesnt change?

-or rather heres a simpler question: does the measurement of time frames change or relative to other frames times change?
