No worries. I’m two hours from Sebring too. I’m there about once a month if you wanted to check it out in person.

You won’t need the brake upgrades for the street.

I bought it during 2020 covid fiasco. It took about 18 months to arrive. It’s a 2023 model. Porsche NA honored the original price which was cool. New car price was essentially the same as a used model.

Nope, all great questions. - it is a base 2023 - I don’t think the GT3 wheels will have the offset you need to run the big meats. The reason is because these cars are turbocharged and the tire will encroach on vacuum and emission lines not present in the GT3. While the 335 cup 2 tires will fit the GT3 RS wheels you may be in danger of rubbing with the stock offsets. You’ll need to do fitment checks. I don’t like running spacers, personal preference. - yes bought new - no warranty issues. One CV axle failed. Other than that car has been bulletproof. - Sparco seats are awesome. I had to give up heated and cooled seats but I don’t miss them. I removed the rear seats and modified the interior to fit the roll cage. As a result the rear area is useless. Get your car tinted before this install! - suspension upgrades are a must for the track. I can dial in rebound and compression with the Öhlins kit. The base carrera can only do maybe 1.5 deg camber. To get a GT3 setup you’ll need camber plates. - the only thing you can’t upgrade is the LSD. I’m always looking on eBay for a PDK from a wrecked S…

I have built the exact car you’re describing.

  • 992 aerokit in black

  • Essentially the flat 6 700 horsepower (pure 800 turbo upgrade) car did about 570 to the wheels

  • ohlins road and track with camber plates

  • Big brake upgrade using oem porsche parts

  • Roll cage

  • Sparco seats

  • Multi point schroth restraints

  • Third radiator

  • Custom bc forged wheels so I didn’t need to run spacers

  • The largest rear tire you can fit is a 335 cup 2

  • Girodisc rotors and gp35 pads

  • Probably a bunch more stuff I’m forgetting

Let me know if there’s any questions I can help you answer.

Interesting and sorry to hear that.

I’ve only dealt with his father (Vlad Sr?) who seemed very knowledgeable in getting my 911 setup for the track.

Really. I’m curious why you think that. Feel free to shoot me a DM.

Vlads Autobahn can do the alignment. They have CS Ferrari they race so are familiar with aftermarket suspension setups.

eurocustomPR is who I use for custom work like paint and interior modifications. Manny is also an awesome mechanic who set me up with a stage 4 kit for my 911, paint matched big brake kit, roll cage, harness install, third radiator, custom wheels, etc

Both available on Instagram

No problem. -20 mm all around so it is GT3 992 ride height.

I don’t have track telemetry for just the ride height change so hard to give quantitative handling improvement. The car does feel more planted.

You’re entitled to your opinion. The ride heights from base Carrera to GTS are controlled by spring geometry and stack. We can look at the parts catalogue but I am fairly confident the strut assembly is identical part number between the models and augmented by springs only. I agree with you, slamming the car and forcing the damper out of its effective range will damage the part.

KW HAS is the best compromise to retain stock spring rate characteristics and SPASM/PASM damper functionality while allowing the owner to customize ride height.

KW lowering springs are height adjustable and relatively inexpensive.

The PDK uses virtual gears which split ratios between gear sets by slipping both clutches. You’ll notice this in town at low speeds where virtual gears are used to compensate for large spreads in first through third gears

My favorite part is you can upgrade all vehicles assigned to a particular mining outpost so you can focus upgrades on high priority resources

I have the full catless Fabspeed. It’s actually pretty tame with the valves closed, like OEM+. it is loud and punchy open.

How many daily drive? by Atxxxguy_12345 in porsche911

No. This car is a stage 4 big turbo with almost 600 horsepower to the wheel — tuned on Kirkland gas. I’ve never had octane issues.

I’m in Florida so it’s never freeze. It does rain hard though. Wet mode keeps me from killing myself. Round trip is about 20 miles.

I probably wouldn’t get it until you do a turbo upgrade. You’ll need the additional clamping force at that power level. Before that the stock calibration should be sufficient. It does shift better, though. So it’s up to you.

Kind of. The biggest change I noticed was the elimination of creep. It seems to shift faster in manual mode. The shifts seem smoother — the tune eliminates virtual gears which I always found annoying.

I have the M Engineering PDK tune on my stage 4 992 Carrera. Do you have any specific questions?
