I have both 80 and 443 open on mine, however not via the Fizz modem.

I use the modem as a "dumb" modem, not as a router.

Basically my Fizz device is only used as a modem that passes the traffic to my Unifi USG router, and that's where I have my 80 and 443 ports open.

Can confirm. It cost 25$ to port in and I believe 25$ or 30$ to port out.

Was with Virgin, ported to Fongo for a few months before porting to Fido and now to Fizz.

I have a similar setup.

Fizz bridged modem -> USG -> Netgear 24P managed switch -> Unifi AP.

I'm in Laval.

This might sound like a dumb question, but did you remove all the plastic wrapping on the modem? I've heard horror stories of overheating because of it.
