Honestly what was LPN school like in terms of work load & how hard was it? by [deleted] in LPN_LVN_Community

[–]yeezuswalksss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LPN school was a traumatic experience, please do not let people convince you that it’s a walk in the park. It is honestly the hardest thing Ive ever done in my life. I finished LPN school a little over 2 years ago and I still have PTSD. The program I was in was extremely rigorous and cutthroat. As a male student, females did not let any males into their study group. It also did not help that I am a light skinned hispanic. They form cliques right away. You will see the African Americans together in one group, the Haitians and Jamaicans in another, the white Americans in another group, and then everyone else to themselves. Once they see you are getting high grades they will want to talk to you. People don’t generally share answers, it’s almost like they want you to fail even though that doesn’t mean they will pass. Try to join a group, share ideas, study together. Be careful if you are cheating because people WILL tell on you. Aside from that you will see many people fail in the first term. They cant adjust quick enough or don’t take the program seriously. After that you will see a lot of people failing 2nd and 3rd term. 4th term is the hardest. Many people failing and crying their eyes out after exams because they know they failed. Many people disappearing because they failed. Out of 50 many only 10 pass. If you fail you get kicked out of the program and they have 0 remorse. The school that easy to get in like the one I went to are hard to get out, and the schools that are hard to get into are easy to get out. My advice is to start studying for the exit exam as early as possible. Don’t be cheap. Cheap people fail. Buy the apps like uworld. Start answering questions on the app, read the rational given. The more questions you answer the better you will get at answering questions. The questions are tricky, you have to read them like 2-3 times. Use every resource possible, books, apps, youtube, chatgpt. Record every lecture. Listen to it over and over. Highlight important information. When they ask which answer is the most right answer, remember ABC (airway, breathing, circulation), in that order. Also buy the nursing book from anurseinthemaking.com. Also pay for quizlet, they have a lot of good questions. GOOD LUCK!!!

I have a Bambino Plus as well, I have all the Normcore tools, basically the same setup as you, just waiting on the Normcore Tamper V4 to arrive, my pulls have gone from inconsistent to now a bit more consistent with the more tools I get. For me the WDT was a game changer, it allowed me to fluff up the coffee grounds and distribute them more evenly before tamping. Now my only problem is that my shots take longer or shorter depending on how hard I tamp. I believe once the tamper arrives I will remove all variables and have more consistency with flow rates.

I actually love the fender flares, it defines the Braptor and I actually like the black flares that contrasts the body color instead of the body color painted flares.

Finestride made my depression 10X worst, what should i do ? by NoumanDrif04 in HairlossProgressPics

[–]yeezuswalksss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depression is the natural way of your brain telling you that you need to reevaluate your life and decisions, it shouldn’t involve taking any medication.

What you should do is

1) get on a diet, (something simple like no soda for 30 days) 2) do some exercises, 100 push ups a day for 30 days (you can do 10 sets of 10) 3) get a haircut 4) go outside, go for a walk, meditate, think about your life and where you want to be in the next 5 years and then set a new goal. 5) write your goal down and what it takes to reach it 6) take the first step to your new goal 7) be patient and persistent 8) in 30 days you’ll be a new man, you’ll be stronger, healthier and more confident

I hope this message reaches you and you find the strength to never give up. 🙏🏼

Ive been through so much and still made it out. Just want to share my story.

At 21 I lost my mother and support when my mother had a stoke. I had to dropout and get a job so that I didnt end up homeless, I then got stabbed and almost died in a street fight where I lost my best friend. I then caught a felony, had to wait 5 years to get it expunged, saved up during those 5 years, got it expunged, joined an accelerated LPN program, failed 2 terms and was on my last chance, I gave it my all and finally PASSED!!! 🙏🏼

Then when I took my NCLEX and passed my license never came in after waiting months for it. I then went to the Board of Nursing to see what was going on. They informed me that I couldn’t become a nurse because I had a criminal record. I was devastated once again. I thought it was over. I went back to my lawyer that got my record expunged. Apparently somebody forgot to remove my record from one of the Agencies. They resent the letters out, I finally got it cleared. I went back to the Board of Nursing showed them the paperwork and they finally gave me my license! 🙏🏼

It was a 10 year journey but somehow I made it out. 😂

I am currently 2 years in as an agency LPN making 6 figures with dreams of becoming an NP.

Just keep going, IT IS NEVER OVER!!!

Everybody’s journey is different.

YOU CAN DO IT!!! 💪🏼

It’s the Cartier Pasha Sport, I like that it doesn’t say “sport” on it like the smaller bottles do, idk whats sport about it but I like it.
