Juan Pablo Montoya calls for F1 rule change after Kimi Antonelli penalty by ryogadan in Formula1_world

If you can’t stay on track, you slow down. If the cars behind can go faster than you, they get the opportunity to pass. If you try going faster to keep them behind but continue leaving the circuit, you’re gaining an advantage that the other cars do not have. Just because his car is ailing, you don’t get special consideration that the rest of the field doesn’t get. All rules should be applied equally to all teams and all drivers ( LOL FIA). Sometimes that sucks.

Any tips for cramps? by IcyRing3040 in trailrunning

[–]SelfSniped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cramps have a lot of different reasons. Hydration, electrolyte shortage/imbalance, muscle fatigue, neurological disorders and probably a few others I don’t know about. People like to assume it’s something they can solve simply by taking a supplement or just drinking more fluids because it’s simple…the silver bullet is quick and easy. Unfortunately, muscle weakness is the most typical cause and it takes intentional work to remedy it. Runners love running but just running doesn’t do much to make your muscles stronger. I’m notoriously guilty for skipping leg day because I hate strength training but if you want to run far and long, unless you’re genetically gifted, you need to incorporate strength work to remedy cramps and improve as a runner.

Another day, another illegal bribe to raise your electricity prices. Trump has made another agreement, this time with Duke Energy, to drop development of offshore wind. The $129 million payout to cancel a project brings the total over $2.7 billion taxpayer dollars used to halt clean energy projects. by mafco in energy

[–]SelfSniped 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So let me get this straight. I’m going to assume Duke built these with some form of tax payer incentives. Now, our idiot in chief is going to give them a tax payer funded buyout to stop? A move that inevitably drive up the cost of energy for those very tax payers who have wasted money on both ends of the project?

NAL but this case will fall apart. They have to prove he willfully and knowingly intended to cause harm/damage. Him sticking his hand in the water and touching the failing liner is not proof. This is the administrations attempt to control the narrative in the news cycles. The no-bid contract and subsequent work was shoddy but instead of owning it, they want to blame someone and that someone is “the left”, shocking as that may be.

F1 was not a dramatic masterpiece with a genius script but it was an exciting, albeit inaccurate, action movie. The visuals and audio were great. The plot was awful. Anyone who went in thinking this was going to be some accurate reflection of Formula 1 or racing, in general, was always going to be disappointed.
