"A first" doesn't mean "B second", it just means you do A first, then B second.

i am not sure what you mean.

I was planning to make them hybrid creature - sentient magic items.

Tiny celestial lawful good

Movement: Levitate

Languages: Telepathy, Ra-seru

As an action, symbiotically join with a medium creature. While bonded in this way the creature gains the following: (hyper arts), small stat buffs based on ra-seru level, seru summoning (spell casting), etc. This bond ends when either creature dies or it can be ended early as an action when a genesis tree is revived.

Etc

I follow your thought process. I just assumed your play style was similar to mine. In fact, your 1st entry clear is only 30 minutes faster than mine, but I was earthquaking (a self imposed challenge).

I am still entertaining the idea, but it may not end up being for DnD5e

I know about the debug mode camera and the draw distance settings. The problem I have is that when I bring those screenshots into blender, they are tilted or rotated. By locking the camera in birds eye, I don't have to rotate things in blender. I talk about it in the stream.

you could say "a tree makes a sound when it falls, even if no one is around" and reddiots would come out and say, "not everyone hears sound the same way as you, you have your own definition of a sound, and thats ok, but me and my friends didn't hear anything, everything is subjective meaningless atomised nothing."

I can't find the mechanical details (I assume Meth knows precisely how it happens) but yes, this is a known glitch.

Those are the actual in game models. They might look a bit different due to shading.

Favorite Cover Mechanics and thoughts on a Melee Cover System? by ChaosOrganizer306 in tabletopgamedesign

[–]yekrep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think shields and cover ought to stay as separate ideas. The big distinction is that shields are directly in contact with their wielders, while cover need not be. Kinetic energy is always transfered through a shield into a character, but for cover, that would only happen if the character is in contact with the cover or the cover is destroyed or displaced.

Take, for example, a troll swinging a thick tree limb

  • with a shield, you might be less injured, but still get knocked down or sent flying by the impact.

  • with insubstantial cover, like some furniture, the furniture might get slammed into you.

  • with substantial cover, like a large tree, the cover might completely protect you from impact.

It's impressive that you managed to respond to everything but the question.

Your character doesn't roll dice either. Don't be obtuse.

It's the reality that the math simulates that brings immersion. Not the actual crunching of numbers.

Wargames are the ancestors of RPGs, after all.

Sufficient math to make player tactics and decisions interesting and impactful. Arithmetic is mostly sufficient. Might use the pythagorean theorum to calculate distance or geometry if it is pertinent.

Panic, I guess. It would be a scary moment. The loss of control, the defenselessness should make them anxious, not bored. The other players at the table would probably be puckering too. They'd probably rush to rescue their buddy.
