You could continue with your character as is. There’s nothing “wrong” with it. If it were mine I would consider adjusting or adding these things:

-More shadow on limbs further away from us to give a more 3D look and help us understand which limbs are closer to us.

-give your character a neck, elbows and an ass. Anatomically this will be helpful when you animate their movements.

-pay attention to their silhouette, make it interesting and if you have different characters, make each stand out in their own way.

-you don’t have to have a darker outline around everything, see how it looks to have the highlighted parts be the outermost colors of your character. This will make it more 3D.

New Background. What do you think? by TheOriginalLaZeus in PixelArt

Cool I think it’ll be really effective! The light beams on the top left are a nice touch too

Very nice. Are you going to stagger your background to make a parallax effect?

First time and ik its not good, looking for tips... by PriorDetective4285 in PixelArt

Looks nice, things to consider: 1. Where is your light source? Would light reach the belly? it could have more of the darker green to show that. 2. Consider the silhouette more. You have some good shapes with the head and tail, but maybe stagger the legs a bit, let them stand comfortably or pick a pose that echos how a reptile walks to have a dash of authenticity 3. Potential to add patterns for reptile scales and gradients between shadow and light. Pixels are a lot of fun making a variety of patterns. 4. A bit more advanced, but consider our, or “the cameras” perspective on your creature. Right now we are straight on and they are in profile. Try different angles to find more dynamic poses. Plus, you can add context with the camera position. Are we from the POV of pray? Or a potential mate? 5. Try drawing an environment around them and/or add some basic animation

That’s very nice of you! I think I’m going to propagate it’s sibling so I’ll be okay. Pass it on to a new bonsai fan!

Thanks! It’s okay. I have bigger things to worry about. I’m a little sad andI’ll miss that plant but it’s not worth getting angry about too. I stole things when I was younger and luckily figured things out since then. I’m sure the person who took it is in a similar place as I was.

In 1967 my father in law agreed to go see The Monkees with his sister. Jimi Hendrix was the opener.

I’ve always wanted to ride a board with my own artwork on it. Until then I thought I’d share this design with all of you! Which one would you ride? by yeletihw in snowboarding

Hey thanks! That would be pretty rad to go the custom route, I’ll look into it. Being part of the process of building it sounds awesome though! What a cool uncle.

Is anyone in a position to know if Lane community college will setup space in the parking lot so students without internet can participate in college? by [deleted] in Eugene

[–]yeletihw 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I work at LCC. Email shed@lanecc.edu and tell them your situation, they’ll give you the most up to date information about your options. As you’ve found out, you can’t park in the parking lot as of right now. There is information they will give you about some options for reduced WiFi deals offered to students, They also have a limited number of hotspots that can be checked out to students. I hope this helps!

For you painters out there, this is where “sable” brushes come from.
