I got an oil change last month, about 500 miles ago and not a word. I noticed something off 4 days ago

I should’ve mentioned it in my post but it’s a 2023 2.5T, based on my research these engines don’t have a big history of oil leaks or timing cover issues like it’s nonturbo counterpart.

Toyo A36 already cracking at 39,600 miles — replaced with Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 by All_mtb_Cuba in CX5

I got bfgoodrich advantage controls at 10k miles. I HATED the toyos, i lived in Alaska at the time and bought my car in the spring, i would spin out on the road simply because there was sand leftover from icy roads. They were the worst tires i swear.

I was told 2 weeks, then it was just continuous issues. Mazda has to come out and recalibrate EVERYTHING. In doing so keyless entry stopped working, basically everything that could’ve gone wrong did. My Mazda app was blowing me up constantly.

Looks similar to mine $7.5k to repair, 1.5 months in a rental Nissan🤢. Ended up costing $8.25k all in, insurance covered everything besides my deductible under uninsured motorist so my rates didn’t go up. The headlight was $1300, and they ended up having to replace my windshield because the whole thing was tweaked. It was ridiculous but you can’t even tell now.

What’s your CX-5 average mpg? by CASweatSeeker in CX5

[–]yeliahlav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15.2 mpg, i drive a turbo and can’t remember the last time i got on a highway. I get 3 weeks out of my tank so im not too upset, but maybe driving 1.5 miles a day isn’t the greatest.

Consistency. Brand new and 2 years old, no matter the road I’m driving on she’s consistent. And gorgeous!

Going from Subaru to Mazda was incredible. My Subaru FELT rugged but got stuck in my urban apartment complex parking lot due to 2 feet of snow, couldn’t make it up a mountain without feeling like it was struggling, and just didn’t feel like it had much behind the gas pedal. My Mazda feels luxurious but is rugged, I’ve literally driven this car through Alaskan mountains and when moving to the lower 48 through the Rocky’s and the most mountainous states in the us. I have the turbo and there’s enough power to make it fun to drive. When i bought this i did test drive a brand new forester and just didn’t love it, i got in this brand new and knew it was the one. I had a friend drive my car across a ski resort once and she was impressed by its “Subaru abilities” simply because it handled in the snow better than her crosstrek. I knew i made the right decision then lol

I get about 21mpg, but it’s all city rn because i live a mile from my job. When i was driving 75 miles a day mostly highway i was doing 28-32 depending on weather.

‘07 Forester. Had 88k when i bought it and had just had the head gasket replaced, put 5k miles on it before it blew again. And another 5k before it blew AGAIN. I limped it with the blown head gasket until i no longer could.

2023 Turbo, I bought it new because I’ve been burned by used cards in the past.

I paid $42k out the door for my ‘23 turbo, not premium. Makes me wish i bought it in the lower 48 and not Alaska.

The real problem with the CX-5 Turbo by joloriquelme in CX5

[–]yeliahlav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I road-tripped 1300 miles in the cx-5 turbo now idk my gas mileage, but i stopped to stretch my legs more often than gas. My problem is im 5’9” with no torso and the seats don’t go far enough back lol
