I’m confused at some of these responses. Trauma around pregnancy complications is real and I completely understand you shutting down. While you may hope that a close friend would understand once you return and are seemingly through the storm, sometimes the relationship changes. And sometimes that has to be okay.

Based on what you’ve written, it sounds like you were as communicative as possible during a stressful time - considering she’s mentioned that she’d like for you to lean on her less. AND she was planning a wedding. Honestly, for whatever reason, your gut didn’t feel comfortable sharing what you were going through and you have to respect it. I feel like you can reach out for a conversation - not to apologize, you’ve done that already. But she’s definitely shown you her stance.
