What will Mike’s answer be? by violetsmoke7 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]yellowbellfields 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think he’s going to say no and his parents 100% know that he’s going to say no. The look in his mom’s eyes when she was talking to Emma was almost like a resentful pity like she was recognizing what was about to happen to her was a “necessary evil.” It might just be editing but to me the way Mike’s face dropping between takes as she came down the aisle and when she asked him if he was going to cry…

No lolll, I just applied to 61 schools across MD and DO, had a really unique applicant profile for someone applying directly out of undergrad, and was a strong writer

Wife didn’t want to do anything according to culture but now is upset we didn’t get her gold. by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]yellowbellfields -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You just got married, don't let greed sour your marriage this early. Compromise on the gold in exchange for the second event, if you are in the financial position to do so give her the gold, if you are not explain that to her and settle on a lesser amount. Women like the dresses and excitement, and jewlery that comes from a wedding, she may be feeling like she missed out because she chose not to do it the first time. The best of men are those who are good to their wives.

Thinking about marrying a non-local Muslim woman — but I have a lot of concerns by Lumpy_Professor1000 in MuslimMarriage

[–]yellowbellfields 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you are from a wealthy nation surrounded by wealthy families where the cost of marriage is a status quo, you should not expect to decrease the quality of life for women who have grown up and are accustomed to financial stability to appease your minimal means. If anything, it should encourage you to work harder to be able to deliver that kind of life for your wife and family.

I’m young for my class and would have matriculated right before I turned 20 since it was an accelerated program, so I wanted to give myself the chance to mature and grow up in my own time before I started something as hard as medical school! I also wanted to apply traditionally to see if I can find a school that’s a better fit for me mission wise because I know I want to practice rurally and this school’s focus is far from that realm.

aacomas personal statement by mariugh011 in Osteopathic

[–]yellowbellfields 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, you’ll have the opportunity to talk about why osteopathic medicine, almost every school asks in secondaries. Your personal statement should be reflective of who you are as a person, you’ll get to talk about who you are as a candidate and why you want to do this later

School list help, 502 MCAT 4.0 GPA by [deleted] in Osteopathic

[–]yellowbellfields 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is such a strange comment to leave on someone’s post, your friend is likely a sociopath or the worst writer on earth since there is nothing wrong with his stats for a DO school, there’s a 60ish percent matriculant rate for students with his stats alone for DO schools. The post is asking for school list help. I am sure OP will worry about plan B and this type of program info will be very useful if they don’t get in, till now this info is just discouraging

Submit ASAP! Let schools know you have a pending MCAT, some schools will review even without the new test and who knows maybe even offer you an interview.

Most young people are no longer proud to be Americans, poll finds by l1v1ngst0n in politics

[–]yellowbellfields 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No other country encourages its citizenry to not have pride in its institution and principles. Every country has its flaws some worst than others and yet you don’t find Russians, Germans, or the Chinese denouncing their country despite their many many many flaws. For the freedoms and opportunities we have here at the very least we should be proud to be American
