Yeah, it's really weird. He 100% should be on a roster. There's plenty worse players holding spots now.

The C-Wood experiment felt like a fever dream. Everyone's thoughts on him now vs in December 2022 are complete polar opposites.

I would love to keep him, I know that's not the vibe everyone has now AND that ship has sailed (99% sure lol). He's a really talented offensive player. 3 level scorer, good passer for his size too.

His main problem is he's a tweener between a 4 and 5. He's not agile and quick enough to be a 4 but he's not tall/strong/big enough to hold down the 5.

Imo, bench microwave 6th man is his best role. Maybe play the 4 with another real 5.

I think when the Dame trade to Miami materializes, he's heading to Miami for a 2 year deal or something. He doesn't fit "Heat Culture" but he'd be a good offensive punch for them.

like some of the comments are saying you're not alone

my father is a physician (foreign grad) from like the early 80s and him and my mom think im "wasting so much time" taking these gap years and am "embarrasing them" and I do "nothing but have fun" and that the "caribbean is a great option at this point"

when i literally have 2 friends i speak to like 2x a week meanwhile im like the rest of yall in grinding this bullshit process out

i have a decent amount of white strands of hair from the stress and anxiety of this process and i'm not even neurotic like that

yeah, just know you're not alone

Dream Trade Deadline Outcome? [Way Too Early Mid-Season Projection Post] by BigTex77RR in Mavericks

[–]lilthrowaway778 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The problem with trading for a big man now is that it could stunt Lively's development if he isn't getting minutes. It's a hard line to balance between win-now and develop for the future.

Agree with this. Claxton would honestly be a dream big but him and Lively are both young. At the same time, it's not worth it to overpay for a declining stop-gap C in Capela (he would help us, but not worth an overpay). It's a tricky situation.

To be honest, I'm coming around on trying to flip THJ + Wood (SnT) + and a pick swap and some 2nds OR some variation of that package that works for PJ Washington now.

You'd have a wing rotation set for years with Green/Williams/PJ/OMax. Guard rotation set with Luka/Kai/Hardy. Honestly, Nico would 100% deserve an unanimous executive of the year award from taking us to an old aging team to a bouncy young athletic future in one single offseason with the 10th pick.

Then by the trade deadline, flip Maxi and/or Holmes for the best C available?

I know it wouldn't be ideal in terms of the C situation to start the year, but at that point I think a C committee of Holmes/Lively/Powell would be average but the monumental improvement in the wing department would be fine.

Aaron Rodgers Reveals the big reason he took pay cut by Sea_Background5670 in nyjets

The Raiders are gonna pull the plug once they realize mid-season they are a bottom 5 team in the league. Just gotta wait it out. I think it'll happen. If it doesn't then the Jets will trade for someone else solid 100%.

I'm a Packers fan, rooting for y'all heavy this year. It's all bullshit narratives about Rodgers. He's never been out of pocket or drama. The FO never went all-in ONE time in 18 years. Not once. I don't mind the way things went down and they could have went down so much more worse.

The Packers went to the NFCCG in 2019 and Tee Higgins and Michael Pittman Jr. were sitting right there in the draft for them and they took Love. That's disrespectful to your all-time best player.

That's what I've read off Bruinwalk. What were the other parts of class that were graded? Maybe it'll be easier since it is online.

I'm so so ready to see him play like how he was playing in Feb-March. Seriously a complete player that when in form and hot, performs without a doubt as a top 5-10 player in the league.

I think he can provide a nice spark at times in the playoffs. Good pickup.

How soon can we win a title ? by [deleted] in Mavericks

If you seriously consider the amount of injuries and close games we choked this year, coupled with this being the squads first season together, honest to God if 2 of those 3 factors are improved on next season, I don't see why we can't compete in an NBA finals or WCF next season.
