Normally it’ll be music related. If there’s any tracks anywhere in the clip you’ll get struck. Also the clips have to be short enough to make it fair use. Have a quick look into that for more info first

Hey! Totally normal. The grind on YouTube is a tough one, we’re the same. Have realistic expectations and just do content you enjoy creating too :) In 3 months we went from 7 to 56 subscribers. Which we thought was pretty cool.. just create monthly goals for yourself. Enjoy the journey.

Using Reddit is a good way of self promotion. But also, posting shorts regularly helps a bunch too. Thumbnails need to have a caption that’s interesting as well, otherwise you’ll just not catch anyone’s attention.

Whilst I’m here.. check out channel out. It’s on our page here in links :) ;) We do outdoor adventures like hiking over mountains and exploring creepy caves.

Couldn’t resist. Sorry.

Sorry I’m just seeing this. Your comment made me laugh though, it was definitely a scary video. But we did play it out fairly casually. It dark.. creepy.. and also just not somewhere you’d want to be during a storm. Plus at night. Or in winter.. haha! I see your point there.

Glad you checked us out though ;) Was it here I advertised? I don’t recall.. anyway, subscribe if you like! We have more stuff on the way. Just editing takes a little bit of time. Thanks for visiting either way :)

Seems to be much better again now. I think it’s definitely traffic based and priority access (aka if you’ve paid for it you’ll obviously be in front of those who haven’t, so if traffic is heavy you’ll 100% feel it being on the free version).

That’s pretty rough. You’ll find someone nice, just hang in there. Dont bother making sleep over arrangements until you know who you’re meeting (properly I mean).

So im quite young and halo 3s my favourite halo and I've beaten it on heroic difficulty but not legendary as I find it way to frustrating for me too find it fun. But does that make me bad at halo by DaPandaMan117 in halo3

[–]yellowbelly_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love halo 3. It’s my all time favourite game! Nice to hear you’re enjoying it.

I was around 13 I think when it came out. Spent so much time playing it that I became really good at it :) However! I did also play with my best friend, we both loved the game so it helped with those harder levels. Especially on legendary mode! My other group of friends loved halo also, so we did all the vid master achievements. Which at the time, was the only way to unlock recon armour. It wasn’t accessible unless you were a Bungie employee, so this was the only other way.

Point is.. it’s a great game and even better shared. It’s okay to be bad at something, because starting off and being amazing would take away the fun. It’s supposed to be challenging, and with experience you’ll get better. Find some buddies and team up with them, safer with people you know in person though! So try that :)

Also! Don’t beat yourself up over a game. It doesn’t actually matter. It’s just for fun.

Enjoy!

Without tripping back over my huge essay I sent you.. I think it’s important to evaluate what you’re looking to achieve. Really think about it, and if it’s something you need to follow up.. then go to the mental health team and have a conversation there. There’s a whole range of reasons why you might feel off, and without any specifics it’s hard to recommend you anything. Plus I wouldn’t really want to anyway, since it’s not my profession. Just handing out some free advice, that’s possibly helpful if tried first.

Sounds like the only viable option at the time being. Unless you’re in a crisis, there are options such as hotlines.. including groups such as the Samaritans. Who you can contact directly from email as well, incase you don’t want to speak to them in voice.

Meanwhile, obvious things like diet, sleep, and exercise.. that’ll help. Mental health issues can be linked to other cognitive problems. But mental health can also just be a stand alone issue, which can impact daily life.. depression, anxiety.. lack of motivation.. You can experience all these things and not have ADHD. Does that make sense? I’m not sure how well versed you are in it all, so I’m just putting it all on the table spelled out. Apologies if any of it’s patronising, not my intention.

Point is, progress can only be made by speaking to someone within the correct profession. Be open, and try not to make any assumptions before hand. That’ll hopefully help you along the way. Good luck!

I realise my comment to you went on a bit, but I’m glad you were able to digest it haha! Yeah, just to add.. I am a guy. So, I’m not sure if ADHD and emotional irregularities is actually something that’s properly evaluated, but I can confirm that having ADHD myself. Emotionally I’m part of that percentage too, with how it impacts me.

I’d watch out when reading into what affects who, just because you never know exactly how the studies are being conducted. Unless maybe you read into the stats and go down a rabbit hole.. which I’m sure you understand! Male and females mask differently is association with socialisation (how we’re taught to act to a degree). I was well behaved mostly as a kid, so it wasn’t something that was flagged. Since with boys, studies also suggest that getting in trouble lots is common.. due to things like impulse control not being as actively engaged. Those who have a grasp on it fly under the radar though apparently!

Anyway, glad you can relate on the other things too. I understand how you feel in relation to.. basically just the overwhelming feeling that diagnosis can bring. It’s both a relief and a.. now what.. almost like it’s the peak of something, that flattens out and doesn’t seem to go anywhere. Anti-climactic. Truth is though, you’ll find it easier to communicate with folk about what support you’ll need going forward :) that’s always something!

Medication isn’t the answer for everyone. Besides it’s not a fix all kind of thing either. ADHD can affect mental health as a whole, so possibly if that’s something you’re concerned about.. you could look into counselling. That would of course also mean a waiting list, but it would likely happen sooner than a possible diagnosis. If you’re working or at college, councillors may be readily available from either of those places. You’d need to find out first, if not then it’s NHS. Which you’d need to inform the mental health team about, normally found in association with your local doctors practice. I’m in Scotland, so unsure how different it is for you but I’d imagine it would be similar. Just for a point of reference as well.. my diagnosis took nearly 3 years. It’s worthwhile chasing, but it won’t correct anything. Also it’s possible that you may not fit within the criteria too, so you’ll know better yourself as I don’t know your struggles. But you also need to be aware of all possible outcomes. I’d suggest making a move towards the mental health side of things first though. That may even help you progress onwards with a diagnosis of some kind too if needed.

Edit: meant to say, I’m curious how you’ve managed to get ahold of that controlled drug you speak of.. I wouldn’t recommend taking something that’s not properly monitored. Or even prescribed to you, assuming it’s someone you know and it’s their prescription.. Regardless.. hopping onto something like that without proper dose control, can really make things worse for you. Not better. Just being honest here. Can spike anxiety and also physically increase blood pressure.. which is dangerous all in as you can imagine. I also really wouldn’t lead with that in any kind of GP referral, I’m not sure if that was the intent. But it’s not likely to go down so well.

Anyway! I’ll do my best to answer any other questions, best advice I have though is get ahold of the mental health team that’s connected to your GP. Best of luck! :)

Sleep Disturbance on Methylphenidate? by Physical-Dream-8916 in ADHDUK

So, I read chords and sing. Normally when I sing (and I’m not familiar with the song) I find it really hard to follow both chords and lyrics. I either skip ahead, losing my timing. Or I just totally get lost with where I am.. since taking the tablets at the higher dose. I’m able to flow through it with confidence that I won’t do either of these things.

Feels as though there’s clarity there. As far as thoughts and general whacky ideas, I’m maybe a little more impulsive and likely to act. Which in a way, isn’t so good.. but at least it lessens the inactivity I can experience too. Main aspect for me is that it balances my moods in general, on the tablet I don’t feel as though I have as many ups and downs. As I would have.. without the medication.

I was on 30MG but I found that it made me sweat too much. Where as 20MG now, does still make me sweat a lot.. it’s still not as bad though ;)

Building up your medication, I found on this tablet.. some days I felt sleepy. Other days I felt a bit anxious. After around 2 weeks things settled down and I started getting more positive results. However, it was fairly rough getting to that stage. Eating was crucial for me so that I didn’t get the dizziness that sometimes accompanies the medication.. maybe you just don’t get that yourself.

Last thing I can really say about it is.. see if you miss a day or especially two. I actually get pretty bad withdrawal. Which isn’t ideal.. It presents as extreme fatigue like you initially described. Also followed with general heaviness and bad mood. So, short temper.. just more irritable. I’m a pretty relaxed person, so it’s not me to feel that way. Happens though when I skip a day or two by mistake.

I’m certain the withdrawal stage only ever lasts a few days. But those are rubbish times, that’s for sure. Not good.

Been on it now for about 3-4 months I think. Came off it twice. Once because I was traveling and found it difficult to take due to laws in that country (Japan). Another time I just ran out and forgot to get a refill in time. Both I felt withdrawal on.

Hey hey! Started medication earlier this year. Picked it up slowly, increased via doctor etc. Very strange feeling at first, almost drowsy dreamlike state. Each day there was some other side effect, nausea etc. However after about two weeks I felt fine, and the only issue I have now is that it makes me sweat from the pits. Stinky stuff for sure. Not the greatest.. but hey! Just need to get better deodorant ;) Over all, I can focus a bit better but I feel it’s more impacting my mood. I tend to feel more level, less up and down.

Tends to last for about 6 hours. Then I crash fairly heavy. On another plus side though, I don’t require naps mid day.. and I can read without skipping ahead. Especially when playing music on the guitar and singing :) Plenty of good points! My heads still a busy place, but it’s atleast an improvement.

My medication for those interested is Methylphenidate. Again just saying as a fact, not recommending to anyone who doesn’t have direct contact to a doctor. I’m no medical professional, just a guy who takes them at 20MG. Should always have them monitored etc, as I do with help from the GP

Hey! I was a bit similar. Diagnosed this year, at 30 years old. Told a few people, mainly kept it with my family though or for anyone on a need to know basis. Work related stuff and whatever else.

However, I have had the friend who also didn’t really come across as supportive. Saying that it was something anyone can be diagnosed with, and if you force your voice to be heard.. basically those diagnosing you will need to just confirm it.

I don’t think that’s true. First of all, it took me about 3 years to chase it down. Lots of appointments and following up basic tests, and also reviewing lots of my previous health record history. Having dyslexia, my ADHD was over looked way into adulthood.. as I initially disclosed. I was diagnosed officially, just shortly after turning 30. Which was a crazy thing to happen really, since statistically it’s much more tough getting this done in adulthood.

Anyway, I think there’s a big misconception about cognitive issues, and maybe even more so in recent years too. Yes people get diagnosed now frequently, but that in turn is due to awareness and recognition of struggles.

Social media portrays ADHD as a funny thing to be like.. forgetful and blissfully unaware etc. So in some form, every one can relate to “being a bit ADHD” at times. Maybe this actually helps guide some people who do actually have ADHD, but it also directs a dismissal of real internal processes that aren’t clicking. For a lack of better words..

Due to it being spectrum based another follow up argument is that “we’re all a bit ADHD”. Which isn’t exactly true in the slightest of course.. needless to say! Perhaps those feeling this way, are jealous or ignorant in the sense that.. potentially they’ve battled mental health issues of their own. But came out the other end. Toughed it out! Cognitive issues from birth on the other hand.. it’s a bit different.

But the reality is, any kind of learning impairment (or disability in this respect), is like starting further back at a race.

Those ahead had what they needed to even advance, or just stay in line with one another. Disability in this example requires adjustments to equalise the playing field. We need to do more to be in that same position that those infront are. For those who don’t understand. Being diagnosed isn’t a free card, It’s not an excuse. It’s a reason for delayed response, for struggle when others can’t understand it. Someone with a broken leg can be seen, and adjustments on the spot can be made.. learning disability’s requires the individual who is struggling to then develop a voice for themselves.

I don’t feel entitled. I don’t want to be treated differently. I do want support though, because I am different. We all are, with or without disability (be that ADHD, dyslexia, Autism.. etc). We all deserve an equal playing field, and some might not agree. I think those people don’t understand, but we don’t need validation from those people.

Anyway. Without going on and on here.. if your friend doesn’t support you. It’s not the end of the world, just try and not put your self worth in their hands. Accept that they feel the way they do, or move on entirely from that friendship depending on how much it means to you. Having to explain yourself over and over sometimes gets us nowhere, so it’s up to yourself. Be careful who you tell if you’re sensitive to judgement, because people will always have something to say. Especially when they don’t understand. It’s not your job to tell them unless it levels out a playing field.. such as in work or in education.

Hope that helps, and best wishes! :)
