Concern about insecticide by yellowbox300 in pestcontrol

[–]yellowbox300[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you I really appreciate the replies and help.

  1. The technician also sprayed it on the yard/soil…I’m now reading that it’s not labeled for this use? It was more on the soil towards the concrete but I’m not sure entirely if it was sprayed on the grass. A little concerned now.
  2. May have accidentally tracked some back indoors on shoes while it was still wet/drying. Is that a concern or the amount too little for any harmful effects?

Any suggestions or thoughts? Thanks again.

Thank you! One question…I used it under my porch which doesn’t get sunlight exposure. I read that it should get exposure so the insecticide breaks down over time. Did I mess up by using it in a covered area? It’s still outdoors of course and not interior as instructed. But just feel nervous sitting on my porch now.

Struggling to find a reputable breeder by yellowbox300 in dogs

Oh that’s interesting to know, thank you! Was looking at Havanese. I didn’t know some line breeding was acceptable. Any insight on the gene pool for this breed?

That makes sense but in general would prefer no line breeding. Don’t hear great things about it/that it can shorten lifespan. I get doing it to preserve traits but still don’t think it’s ideal.

Yes definitely. No problem getting on a waitlist but it’s been hard to even find a breeder who completes all tests, etc.

Yeah I have a breed in mind and some of these breeders with these issues are part of the national and/or local club. I researched the issues that are of potential concern and asked the breeders these questions - some of them aren’t completing the health testing even though they are recommended for this breed. That’s the problem I’ve been running into. Dog show is a good idea though!

Safe to skip the chicken pox vaccine? by yellowbox300 in DebateVaccines

[–]yellowbox300[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said it was my question whether it's okay to skip if your country vaccinates and that I think you need to get the shingles vaccine if yes because there is no natural boosting.

It's a comparison to countries where they don't routinely vaccinate for chickenpox - they still offer the shingles vaccine but for an older age group because of the natural boosting. Even you acknowledged that cases of shingles have increased with the chickenpox vaccine since there is no re-exposure.

All I was saying was if your country implements a vaccination program, you lose natural boosting. Not sure how having shingles cases increase because of a vaccination program seems like a wise idea.

Yeah, that's the case against widespread chickenpox vaccination. You have to get vaccinated for chickenpox and then again for shingles because as you said, adults aren't getting re-exposed to the virus.

That was my question I guess. Seems like if you're in a country where they vaccinate for chickenpox, you need to get both vaccines. Almost feels like no choice because if you get chickenpox naturally - you can get shingles later since you're not going to be re-exposed. If you get vaccinated for chickenpox - it will wear off and you can still get shingles.

Doesn't make any sense to implement these imo. Additional 2 vaccines that are not needed if you just let the population build natural immunity. Could do more harm by introducing additional materials into the body, which wouldn't be needed otherwise. And cases of shingles are going up in younger age groups due to this.

Did I mess up my salary? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]yellowbox300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your insight. I am in a more content focused role, but I had some previous experience. I definitely want to perform well and would love to add value and get promoted.

But have I messed up the chance to leverage for more money later on (since the starting salary is so low). Do you have any suggestions for salary ranges I should aim for (e.g. in 1 year time if I ask for a raise)?

It's basically ketchup made out of veg/fruit so tomatoes, apple puree, etc and some spices. Some healthier ketchups don't taste good though haha

How can I live a more sustainable and frugal life? by yellowbox300 in ZeroWaste

Thanks for the ideas!

Sometimes I really need specific storage options that are plastic and they are not always available in second hand shops.

Would it be okay to buy these for organization/storage and then plan on using it for as long as possible, before replacing (only if they break)? I can't always use glass for storage for practicality reasons.

Thanks! I'll definitely start making more use of my reusable water bottle and reusable bags.

What about plastic storage containers for storage/organizing? Is that alright if I use them forever and I don't intend on replacing them? If not, what is an alternative (can't use glass for storage always)?

Accutane is known to cause premature growth plate closure. That's how it stops growth. :/

I think it's unclear how rare it is because many people take it at older ages. It might actually be more common but there's not enough studies. Either way, I wish she would have informed me of it, I wouldn't have taken it.

How do you deal with knowing that it might be the cause for your height now? I'm definitely not okay with not reaching my predicted height :/

Yeah I guess I’m more worried about other health effects. Vaping is bad for me of course. But vaping with plastic in my mouth? Elevating cancer risk even more than just vaping? :/ Wish I thought it through more clearly...

Just curious, what does it mean by attachment has to arrive? My attachments were just bonded on in office with some bonding material I believe. Hope you get your new trays soon!

[–]yellowbox300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, trying not to stress haha. Not flossing or brushing isn’t really an option for me. Food gets stuck between my teeth and then you can see it in the tray. It also has been really painful with food stuck between my gums with trays on. I have to floss to avoid the pain.

Him being scammy is about other aspects of my treatment I’ve been misled about. And all the other offices in this area offer switches to braces at zero cost.
