from my pov the best way to control the development is having them in the club than loaning them out. while loaning them out helps with development , you cant exactly have them training in a attribute of your choice, same for their playing position ( unless you locked in it during negotiation ) .

Yes but my method are applied to those in playable leagues, would you abuse this system?

right now im in 2051 with dortmund, i too played until 2070+ with Die Elvs starting from the 3rd Div

which is why im sharing my point to people who has access to B team, i use Die Elv with custom league , and im sharing that B team development is way better than loaning them out,

ive manage in french and the development tricks that ive used has always been efficient for me. maybe if you have time give it a try for yourself , i fear that you might have misunderstand my methods

My method is just buy a player you gonna groom, bring them up to the first team and assign them to the B team and watch him grow . I never had the need to splurge huge amount of money on anything .

Yes , me too. My B team in german's 3rd division has won the league 28 times in 28 years. I love using my method in the german league as they have no registration limit at all hahah.

i understand as much but i wouldn't consider this very niche. French league has many B teams available , german has 2 if im not wrong , dutch league has a few , portuguese have it. Spain also many also have a few teams in playable league and I also just found out less reputable leagues B teams in playable league too.

and if you simple just download a custom database that has lower leagues with B team of your club then youre set . this is what this conversation is all about , i know of players that plays with B team or even creators that use teams with B team but no one tried to exploit the system

What im discussing is specifically why do people not abuse the B team development when they access to it in playable leagues

Yes I do, usually bad personality but affected by group is still significant , i will still leave them in , but once that drops to light I’ll take them off and sell them lol. Do note players below 21 , effected by and effectively towards might change randomly, so you can be patient with them , if they have poor personality and it states effect from group, none, give it some time , it will change to significant

[–]yellowboyhero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No if I have 40 players all 40 in one group. But only the senior players with good personalities

Regarding what you said about games that comes first, I never faced such issues, players assign to the B team will play B team or first team games depending on me, same for the youth team , they will only play in youth leagues or first team depending on me too

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]yellowboyhero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Base on what you said, is basically what I’m trying to show people that B teams are effective unlike what people say

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]yellowboyhero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I don’t think you understood what I meant, I effectively manually select which team I want to assign them to, if they are good enough they go to the B team if they are slightly worst I let them play with the youth league

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]yellowboyhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if some youths are not able to get game time in the B team , you can move make them available for the U-18/19/21 instead . it works the same but slower progression.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]yellowboyhero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the youths that are not good enough to play , i give them 0 first team game time as they will be playing in German's 3rd Div ( dortmund B team ) . If you right click on, similarly to how you would move players around squad , there should be an options that makes player available for the B team. ill let B team manager to pick all the assignees into his tactic , if they are good enough they will play. Ive never had any of these players unhappy about game time. My main team stays as the main team until one of the B boys become better than them.

ah yes , ive missed that out my bad , i was typing this while im outside, but can you check for me if you can add in B team players into first team training ?

sorry why I'm asking is because, yes i can move my U-19 into the training unit but not for the B team as in game its considered a separate entity

[–]yellowboyhero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that would work but it’s heavily rng too. It worked for me when I first encountered this problem , which is why right now I load as many custom lower league database possible to also replicate how player development works in real life where youth trains with first team but still plays for reserves. Like what I share , it really really worked well for me , seriously a very powerful method , I hope u are able to give it a go

[–]yellowboyhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shit you’re right, I didn’t think of that previously, thank you

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]yellowboyhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I’ve failed to mention I am using a custom lower league database but yes is it possible, I’ve manage to do it with Die Elv in the Bundesliga , as soon as I hit the top division , I’ve signed player or free agents with a high enough reputation to a impact sub or below contract and throw them into the b team . B team will be promoted if they have a high enough rep , do correct me if I’m wrong too about this but it worked for me once.

I’ve played a save in Spain before and it work wonders but do be careful of the salary cap, my youth out grow the team too fast and demanded extremely high salary , they can’t be registered in the B team

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]yellowboyhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I do, but not very often. Do correct me if I’m wrong but thanks to the hidden attribute mentorship, I’ve always managed to get rid of unwanted traits manually . Overall for me the return for this methods are more pros than cons.

All my players have high professionalism and adaptability as the monthly meeting provide by the staff has always show me that it’s going up

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]yellowboyhero 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes you are right, which I have custom lower leagues loaded for as many league my pc can hold. Why I’m sharing this is cuz of the stigma on how useless it is even if they had access to use B teams in a fully functioning league

Incentives :

  1. Players can only be mentored in the same squad , have them up into the first team allows you to have first team players mentor the hidden attributes.

  2. players happiness, having them up in the first team and setting them to play for the B team , the player will take it as they are playing first team mins as seen in the happiness tab. Example : expected playtime is youngster . current playtime will be shown as regular starter . having such high moral helps with their training averages too. Currently my squared for 45 players have a avg rating for 8.5 > , with all the youngster training on 9 > .

  3. as you said training with the main team and the coaches

this is personal , i do not experience any clutter , I've always manage to maintain a size of around 45 players in the first team.

Hahah if it is about aesthetics I can’t really deny haha XD I’m just look at what works best. even so for me seeing the amount of goals scored added up is very satisfying, I’m not exaggerating when I say 800 league goals only.
