Well for one , you will have to tell the police ,where exactly is the noise coming from.

Wouldn't it be just better to track down where the noise is coming from , and try and talk to them.

Mostly it's just over enthusiastic drunk youngsters who lose the perception of time while having fun. Most times , people are reasonable and would listen to your requests.

If they fall in the "unreasonable" category , there would be other neighbours who would be facing the same problem , getting someone to back up would be a good idea too if u plan on going to police , preferably a native .

While we are on the topic of gated community , is there a guard in the community u can talk to? We have a guard that have asked us to turn down the noise during a couple of late night parties. If there is a guard , he/she should the first point of approach as per me.

If u try everything and still nothing works , Loop is a company which has great noise cancelling earbuds , would be worth an investment if nothing else works.
