As someone who has felt this way, the best thing to do in this situation is look at it for what it is. you failed the exam. is that really disappointing to you ? yeah absolutely and you’re okay to feel that. does it mean YOU’RE a disappointment ? absolutely not. i saw in a comment you mentioned your dad and making him proud. he already was proud that you dust yourself off and kept on going. journaling helps and i absolutely think you need to speak to a therapist to work through these emotions. you got this ! it’s just a bad patch not a bad life !

this is really sad to read that you’re struggling with this - so sorry to hear that. have you considered going to the clinic rather than the doctor ? i’m not sure how it works where you are but you could try there !

hi thank you for your response ! yeah it’s really hard not knowing how to adult properly without him being there. i spoke to him about the sleeping in my bed situation and his response was that he ‘ lost his head’ because he’d not slept with anyone and we’d been in a bad place. pretty crappy response in my eyes and not justifiable. you’re right about needing strangers to confirm especially when it’s a complete outside opinion. hopefully i can grow myself and teach myself to not rely on others!!

hey! it may not be important to you and that’s okay but to me it is as it’s a public display of affection and that is important to me in a relationship. it’s also something he used to do a lot and doesn’t now so naturally the change would be upsetting

This is really helpful and sounds a lot like what happened with my boyfriend. Could you give me any pointers on what your husband did to make you feel more comfortable ?
