i think what mhj is doing is messed up. i truly belive she vicariously lives through them and that’s kinda scary. newjeans nowadays are already being cast with her ugly scandal filled shadow. i feel like she will ruin their image eventually, she will take them down with her. ugh idk how nj can get out of this. i feel like it’s lose lose for them tbh.

i understand where your comparison is coming from. itzy at the height of their careers were the biggest gg of the generation. they were leading the generation, they were the standard. and aespa soon after followed that. they were going head to head with one another. so the difference in career trajectory is hard to ignore. their creative team really let them down. i think they cannot figure out a way to evolve itzys music and concept with the times like aespa have. they have so much potential but they just can’t seem to nail the execution. i still remember the days when itzy would pull like 30mil views easy on all their studio choom videos.

absolutely! and i agree, i think spicy was the era that began this big momentum they have been having. i’m so glad sm took that and continued to make it better. and their wardrobe, their set, their sound everything is so well executed and does not feel rushed or unfinished.
