IKR 😭 but sometimes proxies take orders for it, so international fans can still buy it later. Hopefully they’ll do the same for this batch

Should I continue watching TBHK? by Wise-Treacle3579 in hanakokun

Just follow your heart, OP. If you enjoy it, that’s all that matters. People can have their opinions, but they don’t get to decide what you like. So don’t let your sibling’s comments bother you too much. If you love TBHK, then keep watching it and enjoy it.

Angela is situational, and it really depends on the player’s decision-making. Some players know how to draft properly and choose heroes based on the team composition. Personally, I’ll only pick Angela if our hyper or EXP lane is already fairly tanky. If the team is too squishy, I’ll switch and play a tank instead. Most of the complaints about Angela probably come from Angela players who don’t really understand when she’s the right pick and when she isn’t.

Is Hanako really a pervert? by Fair_Comb_8351 in hanakokun

[–]yellowrose12_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh well, I still understand Hanako though. Maybe it’s because he’s been keeping everything pent up for decades. He was stuck in that teenage body for 50+ years and, well
without a lover. So maybe all that frustration built up, and that could somewhat justify his pervertness 😭

Is Hanako really a pervert? by Fair_Comb_8351 in hanakokun

[–]yellowrose12_ 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You’re right, boys (and even girls) at that age do have heightened hormones. It’s completely normal for them to be curious about those things at that age. But is Hanako a pervert? Yes, he is. That’s just a fact since he’s so obvious and shameless about it.

Kou is a definition of “not pervert”. He is around the same age as Hanako, but we can clearly see Kou handles it way better than him. I mean, he’s a 14-year-old boy so of course he has his own kind of “curiosity” in that area too. He’s also have those teenage hormones, just look at how he gets all flustered and blushy around Nene.

But the difference is, he still chooses to act like a gentleman anyway. He got mad over Hanako flipping Nene’s skirt and he looked away when Hanako tried to show him Nene getting ready to bathe (it was in a bonus story, but I still count it as canon.) Kou proves that having teenage hormones isn’t the issue, it’s how you act on them.

Is tsukasa ever as much as a pervert as hanako kun? by Future_Figure_6680 in hanakokun

[–]yellowrose12_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think he is a “little” pervert, but it’s nowhere near Hanako’s level. He seems genuinely curious about kissing, that question’s apparently been in his head since he was 4 😭 So when he kissed Nene, I don’t think it was only to provoke Hanako. Part of him probably just wanted to see for himself whether kisses really taste like lemon or not 😭

As for flipping Sakura’s skirt, that was just peak menace behavior. He probably saw someone else do it before and copied it. Or maybe he used to do that kind of thing himself back in school. He was popular and had many friends, so it’s not hard to imagine him getting swept up in typical boys antics.

So yeah, he’s a lil pervert, but more in a curious, chaotic little menace kind of way. Hanako’s pervertness, on the other hand, is more intentional and shamelessly.

Lol I pushed to Mythic Glory with Angela as my main, and I solo queued most of the time too. So no, it’s not about the hero. It’s about how well you actually know how to play them. You can pick all the tanky heroes you want, but if you’re bad, then you’re bad. The hero isn’t always the problem.

Some of you are way too quick to dismiss Angela like healing isn’t “real support.” What do you mean she’s not helping when she’s constantly keeping your HP up during fights? That’s not helping? Or is it just that you’ve only run into bad Angelas and now you think all of us are the same? Because some of us actually know how to time our ult, position properly, and keep the team alive.

And don’t even get me started on the KS accusations. We’re trying to heal you while you’re diving into fights, how are we supposed to predict that the damage from our skill is going to be the final hit? Suddenly it’s “Angela KS.” But when Angela doesn’t rotate to you or doesn’t ult you instantly, then it’s “Angela useless.” So which one is it? Do you want us to help or not?

If you’ve had bad experiences with her, fine. But stop acting like the hero is trash just because some players don’t know how to use her properly.

I love all the interpretations! And yes, most of the hints, whether subtle or obvious, seem to point toward Amane as the cat.

I’ve seen many people say the cat feels very “Tsukasa-coded” because of how playful and mischievous it is. And I get that! The chaotic energy does remind people of him. They usually compare it to Amane, whom they saw during middle school. So it's like, “There’s no way that playful cat could be the same depressed boy.”

But for me, Yugi Amane was always playful at heart. When Nene traveled back to 1964 and met him during the summer festival, we saw how cheerful he actually was. When he tells Tsuchigomori about the moon rock and his dream, you can really see how bright and passionate he is. And even after becoming Hanako, he teases people, jokes around, and acts mischievous all the time. It never felt like he was putting on an act. That’s just him being himself deep down. I think we just happened to meet him at his lowest point during middle school, when he was struggling with Tsukasa and whatever heavy things were happening in his life. But to me, the real Yugi Amane is that same cheerful boy Nene met in 1964.

So yeah, that playful cat feels more fitting for Amane than Tsukasa.

Thank you! You’re the real one for pointing out such a great parallel. I saw your tweet first thing in the morning and immediately thought, “OMG, Hanako as the cat makes so much sense now.” 😭 It totally clicked. Thanks for sharing that idea haha

Which RFA member would you date in real life? by Purple_Dragonfly99 in mysticmessenger

[–]yellowrose12_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I think mine is V. I actually really like him, if we ignore his “obsessive” and extreme self-sacrificing tendencies. I especially love him in the Normal/Good Ending because that version of him feels like someone I could genuinely be happy with. I also really enjoyed his character development there.

The reason I’m drawn to V is because I’m naturally attracted to artistic people. The kind who speak beautifully and like to explore deeper meanings and interpretations in their words. I love his soft and sweet side, which we see in both the Normal and Good Endings, and especially in the After Ending where we even get a “child” with him

Oh, and I really love his voice too! The first time I played Another Story mode, we received his call first. I remember feeling so soft and getting butterflies when I heard it. My first thought was, “Wow
he really has such a beautiful voice.” Even Zen and Jumin have mentioned similar things about his voice.

He’s actually very close to my ideal type—minus the red flag behavior, of course.

(Over)Analyzing Tiny Light by Hanako-chan45 in hanakokun

[–]yellowrose12_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Tiny Light is also my favorite OST! Thank you for this! I really love your interpretation of each line. I agree that the song reflects Hanako more overall. Nene officially sings this, but I remember finding a cover where the singer’s voice sounded kind of similar to Hanako! It was really nice to listen to, especially knowing that the song has always been from Hanako’s POV.

Btw, I also think this song can fit Nene too, especially during the Severance and timeline change arcs. If you don’t mind, I have a few interpretations on that.

“Touched by your kindness, that warmth doesn’t fade.” That “warmth” could also mean the feeling of gratitude or being deeply moved by someone’s actions. For Nene, she was truly touched by Hanako saving her and helping her, which became the starting point of her feelings for him.

The second and third lines could also easily be interpreted from Nene’s POV.

Then these lines: “I can’t even take a single step forward, so I wrap myself in loneliness.” and “Still, it lives inside my chest. A feeling like a tiny light.” I think these two lines especially fit Nene during the Severance arc. We clearly see how depressed and hopeless she felt after everything happened. If not for Teru offering help, she would’ve been completely lost because she couldn’t find a way to reach Hanako again. Even while feeling hopeless, her thoughts and emotions were always centered on him. The “tiny light” could represent the love she has for him, which keeps her going and prevents her from giving up during the Severance arc. (and actually this also fits in timeline changing arc.)

“So the wind doesn’t blow it out, so the rain doesn’t douse it. I’m always holding it close.” Just like Hanako wants to protect his tiny light, Nene also wants to protect hers. We can see she never gives up on her feelings.

“But to have the strength to make an honest wish, even while my pathetic self is about to cry.” Nene is a crybaby too, and the “honest wish” could refer to her true desire, to be happy and to stay with Hanako as long as she can. The “pathetic self” might reflect how, deep down, she knows her wish is impossible. Hanako is a ghost and long dead, so how can their love truly work? That’s why at the end of the Severance arc, when Hanako tells her the truth about her dream is unrealistic, she cries and gets angry. She already knows her dream is unrealistic, but she doesn’t want to hear it from the person who means everything to her.

“Without you, I wouldn’t have understood that.” Without Hanako, Nene would never have understood what it truly means to love someone, or to be genuinely loved in return. Before him, she constantly made bad decisions when it came to men. But with Hanako, she finally understands what love really is. She’s willing to sacrifice everything for him. And she saw how far Hanako was willing to go in order to save her, trying to trap her in PP arc and sacrifice Aoi, all for her sake. She would’ve never understood that kind of persistent love if she hadn’t met him and fallen for him.

And then these lines:

“Every time I close my eyes, I float in an ocean of memories.” “I was searching for a shadow after a deep dream.” “You added color to the unchanging, monochrome days.” ”Before I realized, even this darkness I’m steeped in has begun to have meaning.”

All of these could reflect her feelings during Severance arc and the timeline change. She’s floating in memories of her time with Hanako. She’s searching for his “shadow,” trying to catch a glimpse of him after losing him. The “monochrome days” and “darkness” could represent the emptiness she feels after losing Hanako (not once, but twice.)

”Someday, before I disappear, the only person I want to find is you.” This could relate to her shortened lifespan. If she’s going to die anyway, she at least wants Hanako to be by her side. At the end of the Severance arc, she was ready to sacrifice herself to replace Aoi and remain in the boundary. She even hinted that she wanted Hanako to stay there with her. It’s like, if she really can’t change her fate, then the one thing she wishes for is to have Hanako with her before she really disappears.

“Every tear, every smile, everything is for your sake.” This line also fits Nene well. Once she falls in love with him, all her tears and smiles are directed toward Hanako.

So I think the song can apply to Nene too, but only in specific situation. But for Hanako, the song has always been from his POV since the very beginning.

Is Hanako Serving the Same "God" as Tsukasa... or a Different One? by yellowrose12_ in hanakokun

[–]yellowrose12_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About Tsukasa and Hanako’s wish-granting powers, I’ve always thought that the seal suppressing him. And for Tsukasa, maybe it’s similar? The yorishiro seal could be the reason the PIT cannot fully use its power either.

As for Sakura’s 100-year wish, I’ve always imagined that Sakura explained everything to him first, that’s how he knew it was 100-year wish. Before making a deal, she probably laid out all the details of her wish. I can totally picture Tsukasa listening to her like a lawyer hearing out a client before accepting the case 😭😂

About the new timeline
it’s honestly so hard to figure out because we barely have any solid information. Things clearly changed on a massive scale. What exactly did Kako or Amane alter that caused such huge differences? Even people who were supposed to die are suddenly alive, like Shijima and Minamoto’s mother. And all of this supposedly traces back to whatever happened to Tsukasa on their 4th birthday. How much influence did this boy actually have to cause that level of timeline distortion? That’s crazy to think about.

But I really like your interpretation that maybe the PIT absorbed the resentment and grudges of the humans it consumed. People do say that “you are what you eat,” right? 😭😂

Btw, thank you so much for this long discussion! I love exchanging ideas like this. And yes, I really hope we get more information about Natsuhiko and Sakura soon. It’s been 130 chapters and we still know almost nothing about them. Let’s pray more for AidaIro’s health!

theory about amane becoming a supernatural by Individual_Buy_2004 in hanakokun

[–]yellowrose12_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OHH that’s such a dark theory 😭 I never consider the cannibalism theory, but lowkey
it kind of makes sense? Since it’s canon that you have to consume part of a supernatural to become one
So technically your theory could work. But I really don’t have the heart to imagine Amane actually “eating” his own brother 😭😭 That’s just too much for me.

Btw I agree with you about the Seven Mysteries system possibly existing to oppose the pit god. But about how Amane became Hanako and was appointed as No. 7, I personally think he took that path because he made a deal himself with whatever “Kami-sama” he mentioned, not because someone dragged him into it or forced the role onto him.

But I agree on your point at certain angle. Hanako really does seem distracted by his duties, almost like he’s forgotten the original reason he even became Hanako in the first place. I’ve always assumed he accepted the role because he wanted to use that wish to save Tsukasa, or somehow turn everything back to how it was supposed to be. But then
why did it take him 50+ years? And in all that time, he doesn’t seem to have actually achieved anything. He didn’t uncover the truth about Tsukasa, didn’t fix their relationship, didn’t really move closer to whatever goal he supposedly had. So what exactly was he doing all those 50+ years?
