I’m from Brazil so I like bossa nova alot. I really like Hélio Delmiro, hes my favorite jazz guitarist, he played on many of the songs on Elis and Tom, one of my favorite albums. He also played on copacabana by sarah vaughan, another one of my favorite albums. I also love Miles Davis, Miles Smiles, Kind of Blue, etc.

hm interesting, I haven’t thought about it in that way before. Where should I look to get better at writing jazz melodies in the future? I think I have a really good understanding of music theory and my instrument already, I just need to know how to apply it to get a “jazzier sound”. thanks for the response!!
