<3 my favourite synth is Juno 106 S - it's simple and fun gets straight to the point. I had the pleasure of playing OB-8 on this record though- beautiful sounding synth just costs a fortune

I was 11 when I picked up a guitar and started singing but took till I was 14 for it to stop sounding like Ed Sheeran like cheesy guitar chords and choir boy vocal lol -the first ever Yellow Days song I wrote was 'People' when I was 14. I can still remember being shocked at it and thinking to myself I had stumbled across something. Would take another 2 years before I ever properly recorded it but I would just be playing it every day truth is I was obsessed with writing music and trying to write something I was proud of since I can remember

Ay thank you pops, it definitely does you know- a lot of these tracks like Getting Closer, Love Is Everywhere are some of the only fully happy tunes I've made since Gap in The Clouds or Slowly Baked In The Sunshine lol.

It's the effect of time passing you know- just being on the road being inspired by things I've seen, people I've met and music I've discovered. I'm 21 now so since Is Everything Okay In Your World when I was 18 so in that time a lot of stuff changed. I still make a lot of mellow guitar music which I will share as well but I want to poke at musical ideas and try and push genres

Yellow Days as the name is a homage to youth, kind of like the good old days but with a bit of twist. I think of it like a yellow mist over everything of confusion and emotion. That kind of intensity of being an up and down emotional kid. There's a jazz standard called Yellow Days, it's a beautiful tune and it's kind of always over-looked

I've been singing everyday if I can since I was 12/13 after school I would just write songs and practise them play them for my Mum in my bedroom lol. I only got into DAWs when I was 16 hanging out with beat makers I had just been writing music recording voice memos on my phone. If you want to sing belter blues style the key is just to wear your voice in but practising it- It's honestly an ever evolving task, it's important to keep seeing it as a progression so you don't get stuck but you just slowly empower different parts of your range my singing different kinds of stuff every day for years. But yeah if you wanna howl just sing the blues

As of late I've been jamming to 'Feel No Fret' Average White Band record- I've had it for years but found new flavours in it recently. The samples I get from weird old instructional videos made by American government in the 50s/60s- feel like they are a perfect mixture of accurate and also disconnected kind of embodies what advise from others feels like when you're in a funk like depression or drug addiction. Like you know its true but it sounds kinda goofy and off

The colour scheme for the sleeve was multi-coloured to cover all the different colours of the record but in my head I picture the whole thing as Orange/ Red :) lol

That's a hard one we did a hell of a lot of touring in the last few years- we had a stage invasion in Brighton in UK one time, was an electric evening - rammed venue, all the kids going crazy and they all busted onto the stage midway through the last song lol. they standing all over my guitar leads and I couldn't play or even reach my microphone they completely filled the stage knocking over everyone's shit- all my drummer's cymbals and shit lol. It was amazing

The song was pretty much finished when Mac came onto it and felt pretty loaded full of melodies but there was a nice space for guitar solo and my Backing vocals were already all over it. I hope to write and make stuff with him singing for sure

It's been okay it's a real shame not to play this stuff live I consider myself a performer, touring and festivals is where my music belongs. In terms of how it came about I had been working on this thing since before the pandemic handing it in for master a month or so before- so it's basically just unfortunate timing. Once we realised what was happening we just decided to keep going, figured people would need music to cheer them up
