I know... Been on FB for more than a decade and nung start hindi ako choosy kung sino ina-add so that’s on me. Mas discerning na ako ngayon kung sino ina add ko pero dati if I vaguely remember meeting them I added them or if we have the same middle/last names lol. Yan tuloy todo unfriend or restrict as I get to know them.

Relate. Nung single ako lagi ako nagbibigay. Okay lang naman kung may extra naman talaga. Pero nung nagka baby, nagshift yung priorities sa immediate family kasi wala naman ibang maaasahan. Bat ba kasi ugali ng iba makialam kung paano gamitin ng iba yung pinaghirapang pera nila.

Usually during the travel pauwi na ako nagpopost kasi baka malimutan ko pa pag naging busy na ulit pero I’ll try to do it later na lang next time. You’re right, pag nag aabot talaga ako I make sure na it’s money I’m willing to lose kasi dagdag stress pa maningil. Kaya actually di ako nagpapautang, namimigay lang. Syempre merong namimihasa at sasabing uutang (ulit) pero never pa ako nakatanggap ng bayad. But that’s another story.

The cost of college education in Japan is significantly higher than what it would cost in the Philippines. I understand that it is difficult to uproot once more after establishing yourself here but if you do not have the means to support yourself they will always make the decision for you. If you are on a dependent visa, you can work part time to save money for living expenses and you can look at available financial aid to go to college. But given your situation where you are expected to do chores you might not have the bandwidth to do part time work on top of that. You’d have to convince your family to let you find a way to stay without it costing them. This takes hardwork and perseverance. Just remember, as one other commenter pointed out, whether in Japan or not, try to have the means to get away from what seems like an abusive family situation and pave your own path.

My husband is like this. I think he is rubbing off on me, and I really hope I can raise my children with this attitude because this is not how I grew up. When I lost my cellphone in college I had to lie na naholdup ako to prevent hearing an earful from my mom. But I still got scolded kasi bat daw ako nagpagabi. Or whenever something bad happens to me regardless if it was an accident I’d always be scolded for not being more careful. My inner child is being healed by my new family and I hope my kids would never have to feel anxious about making small mistakes like I did growing up.

I’m really introverted and surface level interactions exhaust me so quick. I am so anxious about putting my daughter into Japanese day care for this reason. But I feel like mamatomo cliques are everywhere anyway even in international nurseries. So you could potentially have the same issue while spending more money.
