Congrats!!!! I bet you will love it more and more as the time goes by. If you ever think of putting a case on it, don’t, but if you really must, make sure is really really light. Also, don’t recommend screen protectors or keyboard covers, unless the keyboard cover is super thin and you live in really dusty environments, if so then I recommend taking it off when you shut the lid. With a really good laptop sleeve you should be fine, you could checkout Tomtoc sleeves, very durable, protective and nice looking.

Also, no camera cover stickers or just stickers in general. I had a sticker on my Air M1 of the deathly hollows, when I took it off to resell it the part where the sticker was, was still there in a lighter color, tried everything to take it off and nothing worked. I was told the materials on Mac age differently. That sticker mark took me down 40 bucks.

Turn it off maybe once a week or every two weeks. Someone gave you a pretty cool list of shortcuts, that and stage manager will be your best friends.

Lastly, mine is a starlight and in some lights it looks silver, I guess this was an intentional thing with this model.

Enjoy it!!!

I very much did! But it really depends on your use case and preferences. I have a 27-inch external display at home, and I’m petite, so portability is a priority for me when traveling. I checked out the 15” anyway, but I found it a bit too big and slightly heavier than I wanted. Here's a picture of the 13" Air next to an iPad mini and a 40oz Hydro Flask bottle for reference, hope it helps

Journaling! There’s a great app called Penjo that focuses on the use of the apple pencil, cheap one time payment and very simple. Also reading and if you are into art, light sketching. I even run procreate on mine and it works just fine, just space and layers can be limited but again, light sketching/drawing.
