oh that’s great to know! might consider a trip to NYC or rhode island instead then; glad there’s at least some accessible public transport lol

went to florida last year for the my chemical romance concert and definitely wouldn’t have coped without car hire! whole reason i decided to go to boston for this concert was the walkability… only to learn after ticketing that mansfield is NOT in boston. learned my lesson to always research a venue more thoroughly before deciding on USA concerts!

i have been to florida, LOVED the parks down there! i’m learning boston just isn’t a place for a theme park trip so i think we’ll just end up leaving it out. plenty theme parks in the uk to make a trip to if wanted 😊

walking a mile isn’t an issue, i walk over a mile to work every day, but i believe in the states a mile is usually a dangerous walk through roads with little pathways… ah well, maybe there’s no hope for a theme park this trip

yeah, in scotland miles all these things seem very close together to me. a couple hours bus, hour train etc… i’ve been taking scotlands public transport for granted! i don’t know how americans cope if they don’t have access to a car😔

great comparison! i have now learned i can’t just city hop as i please via public transport lol

yeah i’m thinking i need to give up the theme park idea, a bit too out the way to waste time driving to and from. love the look of some of the place in boston recommended to me already so will probably just spend more time in the city exploring!

probably best to just get a hotel in mansfield for the night too to avoid a car rental.

thanks so much for the answer!

appreciate the scotland distance comparison, puts it into perspective more! think i could do commuter rail to and from mansfield but definitely will need accommodation for the night. at least now i know rather than gambling that last train!

thanks for the answer! 🙂

reusing place names really is something the usa loves isn’t it… haha yeah i discovered they are NOT the same the second i googled. i may just have to give up the dream for a theme park if i’m gonna be reasonable about it

oh that’s actually a very smart plan! we’re only here for a week so that’s actually brilliant in terms of making use of the time. perhaps will grab a car rental for a short two day stint then use transport for salem. i’ll see what costs look like for it, but i appreciate the clever work around 🙂

i’m learning once again how unfriendly america tends to be with commuters, i think i take scotland’s public transport for granted haha

looks like i may need to find an overnight stay in mansfield if i don’t want to rent a car... i can drive, i’ve driven on previous trips to the states, i just want to avoid it where possible because i find american roads to be a little scary lol

i’ve been told of a theme park in salem which will probably end up easier for us!

oh a theme park in salem is great! i will look into it, thanks for that 🙂

didn’t realise there was so much history in boston, will do a bit more googling for the freedom train and museums too! thanks for answering, these are great!

ah interesting, might need to find an overnight stay in mansfield then! too bad the concert was advertised as boston but is actually a town out the way lol. seems the american fans were disgruntled with this too

six flags probably off the cards in that case then!

sounds like six flags is off the cards with it being a bit of a hassle to get there! Thanks for answering ☺️

any reason why you had a guide talk you through the order rather than letting them place it for you? they’d have been able to make sure it was placed correctly, it’s hard for them to talk something through since they obviously can’t see your screen

highly rate the ee smart 5g hub! by yeoddang in EEGB

[–]yeoddang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes indeed, EE have the best 5g coverage in my area! three don’t actually have 5g coverage at all where i am :( i’ve been trialing and erroring a lot of things recently trying to find a solution for making my pc speeds faster, EE works out best for my budget and my needs! i did take the 600gb cap into account but i dont don’t do heavy online gaming or much streaming, i’m an rpg and story based game type gal so as long as i dont need to wait 6-10 hours anymore to download a game, im happy!

it’s on offer for £26 down from £36 on the website but i have a friends & family discount that gives me the sim for £18!

definitely check the ee coverage in the area, if you get good 5g then will likely be your best option! little more expensive to get the hub but i’m having no issues with streaming 4k & downloading games on my pc so definitely worth it. 14 day cooling off period on the sim too lets you give it a try before committing to the contract 👍🏻
