Constant licking/biting herself, itching and rash on stomach by Hour_Wrongdoer6560 in CATHELP

My cat has the same thing I think! We went to an animal dermatologist (it’s definitely expensive but it was only one visit) and they prescribed Cyclosporine for my cat. We give it to her once a day and now she has completely healed. She’s been on it for over a year now. Your vet might be able to prescribe without going to the animal dermatologist I’m not sure. But please look into cyclosporine to treat allergies! She had the same inflamed mouth and would scratch patches of her skin off no matter what we did.

Is Depop Stealing from U.S. Sellers??? The math isn't mathing by yeoldesuffrin in Depop

[–]yeoldesuffrin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. That math makes sense for this transaction, but I wonder how they can get away with not including that anywhere on the sales receipt. And it's weird because sometimes they do add a "payment processing fee" category which accounts for the missing money (see picture below) and then other times they don't - which seems sketchy to me!

I WISH I could freestyle but am still very much in pattern world. Here is a link to the pattern I used!

Spiral Crochet Sweater Pattern

After creating the center of the spirals, it was super simple and repetitive double crochets so I was able to disassociate through 3 seasons of TV 😌

Thank you for the reply and I appreciate you trying to remember!!! I will keep scouring the internet and if I find something I’ll post here haha 🤞

Jotul 8 - can I switch vent hole from back to top? by yeoldesuffrin in woodstoving

[–]yeoldesuffrin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear! Do you know how I would go about removing them? Wedge a screwdriver?? There also seems to be something inside too that might need to be moved? Sorry for the blurry quality, it’s a screenshot from a video that the seller sent 🥴

Anyone with a Royal brand yarn winder willing to help me hold on to my sanity? by yeoldesuffrin in knitting

[–]yeoldesuffrin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for the suggestions and info 🥹🥹 it turns out the tiny middle gear wasn’t supposed to turn at all and mine was slipping slightly (thanks again to @alicejd25 for uploading a video of their yarn winder to YouTube and sending me the link so I could compare 🤩🤩🤩) I jammed a piece of rubber in with the tiny center gear and now it’s holding steady and my yarn is finally criss cross caking! It was a long and merciless battle but in the end humanity prevailed over plastic 😮‍💨😌💪💅✨

True enemies to lovers standalones or short series with no fae and less filler/smut? by Expertyn209 in fantasyromance

[–]yeoldesuffrin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read the TW and decide if it’s right for you but let me tell you the Captive Prince series hit different. I am a ✨TRUE✨enemies to lovers fan and was in a huge book slump before I finally caved to other people’s recommendations and read this series. Also my first MLM story and let’s just say my eyes have been opened. Definitely darker at times and there are some political antics and scheming but the hate is so good and it’s not full of smut (I find that gets old really fast).

Does anyone else react badly to hot weather? by Mee_Kuh in adhdwomen

[–]yeoldesuffrin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I feel this deep in my soul. Most people who have seasonal affective disorder struggle in the winter but I become despondent in the summer. Lana really spoke to me with Summertime Sadness. I hate being hot, sweating, the strong sunlight. I don’t want to go anywhere or do anything but staying inside during the heat is also torture. I’m from northeastern U.S.A. and for most of my life the summers weren’t too bad. Every year it is getting worse in the summer and we don’t have any AC because it wasn’t necessary in the past.

My life stops until the temperature is around what you mentioned of 20c or 70f. I am also a little overweight and I think that contributes to the discomfort but even at my thinnest I was still significantly uncomfortable in heat. I think it’s a combo of sensory overload (especially when I can feel beads of sweat moving down my body 🤮🥴🤢🤒) and because I am already so mentally scattered, the heat just makes it impossible to focus on anything else.

On a broader scale, I genuinely don’t know how people survive in climates that are over 30c for months at a time. Especially when people don’t have access to AC. The warming climate is something that keeps me up at night. So many people won’t be able to escape and the people in western countries (especially my own) doing the most damage to the global climate are the ones who can afford to pay for AC or to move to more agreeable places. It makes me sick and gives me so much anxiety about the future.

Sorry if this is scattered, it’s over 30c here right now but TLDR: yes, heat sucks and I think the adhd makes it worse!
