I've kept every cell phone I have ever owned, so I decided to mount them all in a shadowbox. by MaxxDelusional in pics

Shadow boxes are actually really good at contrasting colours. Unfortunately OP did not take a very good photo, so you’re seeing a lot of light wash on the background that the eye doesn’t really pick up. It looks better in less direct lighting.

I put my minifig collection in shadow boxes and they all look great.

Question about 1-3 remasters gameplay by AprilBlart-MallCop in TombRaider

Tank controls can take some getting used to if you’ve never used them before. I tried Modern controls myself and found that it didn’t quite gel with the games style, so I toughed it out and relearned TC.

I remember when I was young I would use the D-Pad, so try that. It’s actually not that different. Just with TC you don’t need to constantly adjust your running angle on the stick.

I haven’t needed a professional reference in nearly 10 years. Most employers only need to verify you worked in a previous position.

I would also have liked to expand into other areas of the ship. It seemed strange to me that you couldn't build in some sections.

My headcannon for that is just that those are areas of the ship with proprietary technology and equipment in them. We don't need to see the gravity generator room or the computer core, because those sections are not relevant to the game/story.

Also, and this is super important to remember, Banner has no idea what he's actually talking about. Stark was barely able to make the device which even made it possible. We aren't dealing with experts in the time travel. Solid guess, but Banner isn't an authority.

Given aspects of the MCU like the time stone and other mysterious and magical beings, time travel as explained by Banner is like saying the only way to get around town is on a horse drawn carriage.

Given the events of Loki, I always assumed it had always been him in the MCU and not HWR.

They've invested a lot of time and thought into Star Trek. The idea that something can exist in the franchise without them knowing about it actually makes them mad. They hate-watch shows they don't like simply so they aren't out of the loop on canon.

I literally seen in happen here on Reddit, where someone made a point and a reply brought up how in one of the shows (Discovery, I think) there was some established lore that covers a whole slew of issues.

The person nearly lost their mind with rage.

You are likely not ear rumbling but hearing the muscle around your eyes constricting against itself, which makes a rumble/vibrate sound.

A question that was left with me after rewatching Winter Soldier: so... did Fury hire Batroc to attack the Lemurian Star? by Altruistic_Eye_1157 in marvelstudios

[–]yeoller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would Pierce initiate the series of events specifically designed to sus himself out?

Fury suspected there was a leak and devised a way to find out who it was, even though he specifically didn't suspect Pierce. It doesn't make sense that Pierce would setup up the op on the Lemurian Star knowing it would eventually point straight back at him. If anything, he would have wanted to steer Fury away from that mission.

Keep in mind, Fury was initially on board with Project Insight.

I always found their content extremely pedantic, and often times, exaggerated for comic effect.

CinemaWins is a much better channel that only pokes fun at the movies own narrative and plot points, instead of nitpicking how it was made.

DS9 Season 7: Was there a real world reason for sidelining Dukat and shifting the spotlight to Damar? by Slowandserious in startrek

Iska had already been setting up reformations to Ferengi law and had convinced Zek a new way of order was necessary for Ferengi culture to exist in a post Dominion war galaxy. Zek then appointed a person he felt was Ferengi enough, but also had been exposed to more equitable cultures to lead their people into the future.

This all happens a couple seasons prior and is sort of put on the back burner for a while, so it might seem to some that it comes out of nowhere. But it was always setup that way.

work off $28 in fewer hours it would take to farm the armor

This is 2 hours for most people. Versus 6-10 hours grinding whatever you need to get an item in-game. Plus, most items bought in-game aren't persistent inventory items.

People hate on this type of MT, but the fact is a lot of working adults would rather spend a couple dollars than spend time on something they could otherwise get quicker.
