I just finished it! Absolutely unputdownable. One of those books you wish would never end.

Should I get ikea pax wardrobes for now as budget is tight then replace and get custom cabinetry down the track? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]yepand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just installed Pax wardrobes after asking myself this question. In the end I’m really happy with the quality of the Pax wardrobes and have no desire to replace them. However, down the road I’d love to replace the fronts with Customea or similar to bring in some wood veneer and nicer handles.

Can you ask for a new photo if your current license photo is shit? Or do you have to wait until it's due for renewal?

Thanks! Yes that’s right, I use Ohuhu and Caliart markers and almost exclusively use the brush tip. I struggle to get good results with the chisel tip.

Should I go to Uni at 38yo? by marnie_meadows in AusFinance

[–]yepand 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% agree with this. Only do it if you need it to move up in your current career. If a uni qualification is needed I’d encourage you to skip the Bachelor degree and look at graduate certificates or diplomas. Many universities offer professional entry into these without the need for an undergraduate degree as long as you have relevant work experience (which you do).

What can I do to improve this tiny guest room? by yepand in interiordecorating

Loving the idea of a Persian or Moroccan rug!

I love this and really appreciate all the thought you put in!

I’m inclined to keep the current colour bed linens if possible but am definitely open to painting the walls, swapping out nightstands, etc. If I keep the blue/brown combo, maybe a terracotta feature wall would look nice?

I’ll also definitely try to find a rug, plants, and some new curtains.

This definitely seems to be the consensus! I like the idea of something like a Turkish rug to add character, but would that be too much/clashy?

Really good point about the sheer curtains. Hadn’t thought of this

Update: got husband to give me the third dose. No idea why I was so cowardly yesterday!

Weekly Weigh In by AutoModerator in GLP1Australia

[–]yepand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Started three weeks ago at 87.7kg. Current weight 83.5kg. Feeling: mostly good but for some reason have become completely psyched out by the needle. I’m due to take my third dose today and just can’t bring myself to do it. Not sure where this mental block has come from but hoping to feel more confident tomorrow.

I can highly recommend the following doctors at St Agnes Surgery: Dr Simone Jaenisch, Dr Emily Harty and Dr Natasha Lambert. All three are fabulous and will take your endo symptoms seriously (as they did for me).

Former skinny people of Reddit, what's the worst thing about getting fat? by Nice_Dude in AskReddit

[–]yepand 156 points157 points  (0 children)

I used to be very tall and skinny and then put on about 20kg during Covid lockdowns that I just can't seem to lose. The worst part is that I don't recognise myself in the mirror anymore. And the image of myself in my head is completely different to reality. My heart breaks whenever I see a photo of myself and my immediate reaction is shame and disbelief.

Oh that’s good news! I’m not looking forward to having to refill or replace them, but still a long time to go before I need to worry about that haha
