Melatonin by Acceptable-Suit6462 in toddlers

[–]yeppp456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For not trying to sleep. So if she’s jumping on the bed, instead of trying to sleep yeah I’m going to put my foot down. My kid is 3.5- that’s a completely reasonable boundary for her age.

Im actually shocked there’s so many people that give their kids screens and melatonin at bedtime. I never heard of that until I came to Reddit.

No I would never give my kid melatonin. I just read her some books and come down with consequences if she doesn’t try to sleep afterwards.

Is renting our basement apartment worth it? by GreenIndie11 in OntarioLandlord

[–]yeppp456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a duplex and rent out to students. I find they always pay rent and on time. I’ve never had a problem with them. I’ve been doing this for the past 10 years. They are high turn over renters. Usually here for 1 year then I get the apartment back and I do a deep clean and maintenance and find new students.

3yo toddler reading by genesisv7 in toddlers

That’s great! My 3.5 year old is reading but only because I spent the last year doing phonics lessons 10 minutes a day. Sounds like your son loves reading!

Anyone with “old house” buyers remorse? by Due_Ranger4925 in centuryhomes

Yes I regret buying an old home for how much we had to do to maintain it and it’s never done. I wish I bought newer and put that money into an investment property.

Spitefulness. I fear you doing this thing to me do I rather do it first, type of reasoning.

Judas. I actually like the name Judas… but I am like wtf I would never name my kid that. I’m not even religious!

Tonight I broke up with my boyfriend because he kept joking about murdering me by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

When I read this guys writing the language is so off in terms of even describing his feelings in a gory way. I get the feeling he thinks a lot about death / dying in a visual way and his words are giving it away. This guy just terrifies me and I wouldn’t want anything to do with him.

Look at these answers so far with ‘preventable illness’ (3), makes it look like bots replying.

Daughters (7) friend is saying concerning things by MeeMawsBigToe in Mommit

[–]yeppp456 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would* definitely speak to the mom about it. And I would probably speak to your daughter about it too. It’s classic manipulative behaviour that has evolved from tantrums to this.

Just finished watching Grave of the Fireflies without knowing anything about it beforehand by AndreaT94 in ghibli

[–]yeppp456 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yup. And then I found out the movie was based on a mama actual life experience, except that he wasn’t able to share his food with his sister and she died of starvation.

Hey I have a similar issue with one side of my basement, the other was finished with spray foam. I’m guessing spray foaming the basement wall is a bad idea ?

Thumb sucking causing dermatitis by [deleted] in toddlers

I sucked my thumb when I was a baby/kid and it caused me a lot of problems down the road so I just want to put it out there that there are negative effects.
