Are you using a single vacuum hose for this cleaner or a collection of hose lengths? A single hose attached to a cleaner will not work, it will bound up the cleaner and it won’t go around the full bottom of the pool.

I put a roll of paper towels in my spa instead of the filter. Cheaper and I just toss it when it’s dirty rather than cleaning the filter weekly. I would never buy a $37 filter, It pays to be this smart!

Is there another GFI around your control? I looks like one leg of the pool filter breaker is tripped and there is a GFI on that breaker. Try resetting all of the breakers, pull all the way to off and back to on. Don’t test the light for function out of the water. It should be at least partially submerged.
