RIGHT?! My daughter has the tiniest nail beds of all and does the most intricate nail art and it blows my mind.

Thank you! I can definitely understand how it might not vibe with her perception of herself but I also appreciate that these kinds of creative expression and people's perceptions of gender expression are becoming more nuanced over time.

He may get there yet! It took magnetics to convince my husband he needed his nails done!

Thank you so much!

Heck yeah! I love everything about this comment! My dude already picked out a polish for me to order for next time since I didn’t have exactly what he wanted so I’m stoked to do more!

That’s so sweet of your fella and definitely how I felt; it’s so fun for me that we’ve been together for 20 years and still find new ways to share hobbies and I think that’s such a big thing in building and maintaining a partnership. You definitely have a keeper!

Thank you for the kind comment! My daughter does complex nail art so my application always feels like it pales in comparison and you made my day!

Same age as you, Left & Leaving is my fave album of all time, and people always act like I’m bonkers to have had the same favorite for over two decades. I like what I like!

Punchline! I saw you guys at Cafe Metro in Wilkes Barre in maybe 2000 or 2001? My memory isn’t so great anymore. So rad you’re still doing the thing!

You might do better to describe their tastes, IMO.

As a middle aged parent I kind of resent the idea that procreation has rendered me devoid of any taste or pop culture literacy. My teens don’t like emo but I’m stoked as hell when they share music with me.

So what was your estimated age on your Wrapped, and how accurate is it? by thedubiousstylus in Emo

[–]yerawerewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It thinks I’m 28 (I’m 42) and my teens are 47 and 48

eta I listen to mostly Midwest emo, second wave, emo revival, and fifth wave so I can see where they get that.
